Robbie's p.o.v.

We arrive at school, 10 minutes late. I can see Madison freaking out about it. "Come on, let's hurry inside" We run through the empty hallways when all of the sudden I realize something. Madison urges me to come, catching her breath, she still has those problems with sporting. I grab her hand when she starts walking again. "Weren't we all free first period." I can see her calming down a bit. "You're right, we are, ugh." She is breathing very heavily so I make her sit down. "Let's go." I hear her mutter. "What?" "Let's go, to the mall, like we always used to do." It feels like it's been forever since I last went to the mall with friends during a free period, in fact it's only a year ago. So much has happened and changed. I look at Madison to check if she's okay to stand up again, before helping her up.

We cycle to the mall, it's not very far. "He Robbie." "Yes?" "Did you know that my friends used to tease me about liking you. They were trying to get me to talk to you." "Really? I never noticed. My friends used to tell me if you came close." "That's funny, every time you would be close my friends would say; Look Madison, behind you, it's your KayBae." "Wait you called me what?" I giggle "I didn't, my friends did. I might start calling you that from now on, I kinda like it." "What, Mads, no, please, what will my friends say." I lough at his response. I am so going to use this against him, teasing him a little is so funny from time to time. He does it to me too after all, payback time.

It's amazing revisiting old hangout spots. All memories return to you. Robbie and I have been telling each other crazy stories all day. They're not by far as crazy as the last 3 months though. It doesn't take long enough because we have to go back to school.

As we walk in our friends run to us. They're all exited talking to us about their holidays and asking about ours. Not weird since I haven't seen them all holiday, it was so busy. Robbie almost gets kidnapped by his friends when I notice Hayley is not there. Maybe she's just a little on the late side, she has that a lot.

My friends drag me away from Madison. We stop a few meters away from her and her friends. Jake is the first to talk "Dude, you've got balls to come to school." Ollie(Oliver) the youngest of us explains, like I don't know "He's right, I mean, you know all the rumor that has been going around lately. It's even worse than that time with Felix." Alex joins the discussion too, being the caring friend he is "Have you told her yet?" I sight "I was hoping she would never have to know, but it would surprise me if she doesn't find out. Everything has finally gotten so great again and she's so happy and the new OUAT season is about to air, I don't want that ruined." Being the wisest Alex says what I somewhere already knew. "You're gonna have to tell her." "Soon, not today, I want her to enjoy before... Well you know."

They keep talking as I start walking back. I then notice Jared, he looks like he didn't sleep in for a few days. His eyes are drained and red, honestly he looks like a complete train-wreck. "Are you okay?" "It's Hayley, she's in the hospital. We were just out and" he keeps quiet for a minute. "I didn't help her, I just stood there, shocked and frozen, she got hit by a car. I, I should have pushed her away, or called her, I should have done something. It's my fault she's in the hospital." "It's not your fault Jared, there's nothing you could have done to prevent it." I hear a voice behind me say, it's Madison, she looks shocked and sad but also really strong. Jared just looks at the ground "when did this happen?" I ask "a few days ago." His voice small. I feel like screaming at him, my hands ball up in fists. I feel Madison's hand reach out for mine and I hold it. It calms me down. "You should have told us. There's nothing we can change about that now, I guess you just didn't want us to worry. We could have been there for you." She pauses as if waiting for a response, then continues "When can we see her?" She sounds very serious and determined when saying this. "We can visit after school, they'd call me if she wakes up." "If?" We almost yell simultaniously "she hasn't been at consciousness since the accident."
