To not exist is a feeling that you can't even think of because you can't think about not existing because if your brain doesn't exist you can't think of anything. Does that sound right? Anyway... It was dark. Nothing to see, because she had no eyes. Nothing to feel because she had no nervous system. It was that way for about 497 years. Suddenly a burst of light filled her eyes, eyes that had only existed for a few seconds. She was being thrown forward but instead of falling to her doom she floated down. Downwards onto a stone floor. On this stone floor, she felt the cold air blow against her skin. She heard sounds that she had never heard before, but she knew what these sounds were. They were other gems. Other gems talking. These gems had green skin and a slender form. "Oh look, another Lazuli emerged!" One of them said. "Looks like a Bazzite to me." The second one replied. She looked behind her and saw all of the holes.
Tons and tones of holds. Some were tall and bulky while others were short with square shaped heads. She felt a little overwhelmed but she held her ground. "Woah..." She said in amazement. "How long did it take to make all these gems?" She asked, wanting answers to her questions about this new and strange world. "Somewhere around 9,800 years" responded one of the smaller green gems. "Why do you ask?" "I just wanted to know" Said Jermejuvilite.
She had many more questions but before she could ask she was told to stay with the other Jermejuvilites' until here commander came. She socialized with some other gems of her type for a while. It took her a bit longer to talk to the Lapis Lazulis' though. They were better dressed, she'd be lying if she said she didn't feel intimidated.
A tall gem caught her attention, an Agate, she was barking out orders left and right. Telling the others to pick up rocks and carry them to a larger pile of rocks left by gems who had emerged from here before. Wait how did she know who this was, and how did she know she was a gem? It was probably because of the bright blue crystal on her forehead. While the others scrambled around she did what she was told. She picked up as many rocks as she could carry and quickly joined the line of gems carrying rocks as well. They did this for about 8 hours before the Kindergarten was clear of rubble, or at least she assumed it was a Kindergarten, she still doesn't know how she know's these things.
The Agate lectured the crowd of gems that once again surrounded her and told them that when they got to the arena that they would walk in single file lines and they are to only speak when spoken to. Jermejuvilite thought that this Agate telling these gems to behave the selves was kind of unnecessary. Why does she think we can't control ourselves? It's not like we're Rubies! But Jermejuvilite kept these thoughts to herself, she knew never to interrupt an Agate when they're raving like that.
They all stepped onto the warp pad one by one and warped to the arena.
The arena was a large and grandiose structure that floated gracefully. It had a staircase that led to the training area. The training area was a wide open space with even more stairs that separated it from the sky. The Agate walked into the larger area and the others followed. They all lined up waiting to named. "Jermejuvilite - Facet: 9C4P - Cut: 6DG, Jermejuvilite - Facet: 9C4P - Cut: 6DH, Jermejuvilite - Facet: 9C4P - Cut: 6DI..." As the Agate went down the line she added names to her little blue screen.
