it was comfortable.
the sky was always grey and the yellow lines of smog were always present between the clouds.
air was always thick with dust and pollution in these parts. she didn't mind- she's a smoker. used to not being able to breathe well.
wheein lit another stick, subconciously telling herself to cut down. the crappy brand she had was weak, but it was all she could afford. ten a day usually sufficed- it saved her quite a bit.
not today, however. it was barely before breakfast and she was two fifths into her daily maxiumum.
her shitty scratched up kettle began singing. the short haired girl prepared her instant ramen with nothing left to waste. after all, she was quite literally living up to the "starving artist" title, having an unfruitful art career and living on two packs of ramen a day.
the life she lived wasn't easy- not all that lavish, either.
it was comfortable. she had a sense of comfort and belonging. she had a set routine. wheein was satisfied with what she had. even with her art- she never really tried to break her own barriers. she intended to stay comfortable. people seemed to like it, anyways.
she never really wanted more for herself.
that was, until moon byul e moved in next door.
