Neymar's P.O.V

I've been making myself comfortable, slumped on a sofa at the corner of the hotel lobby with my headphones on, fiddling around with some new apps that I just downloaded into my phone. I had a great view of the main road outside and I knew that if Anna didn't want to get caught red handed sneaking out, she'd be back any minute now. I knew that because if I were her, I'd have the exact same plan too.

A white 458 pulled up at the side of the pathway and what caught my eye was a girl coming out of it. She had my Brazil cap on her head, I didn't need second glances to know who it was. I walked out of the door and made my way towards her as she continued to stare at the Ferrari with her back facing me until it sped away from the scene.

“Boo.” I hunched and whispered directly into her ear.

“Eep!” She squeaked, turning around to stare at me wide-eyed. “N-Neymar, what are you doing here?”

“I could ask you the same thing.” I put my hand into my back pocket and slid out the hotel room key that she had left in her room, dangling it in front of her face and she snatched it back into her hands.

I observed her face closely. She looked much better than how she was this morning but her eyes were in a slight tinge of pink, they were slightly puffy as well as though she had just cried.

“Did something happen?” I hesitantly asked.

“I-uh-” She stuttered, obviously trying to come up with a reason at the back of her head because she wasn't going to tell me the truth. I put an arm over her shoulder and lead her out to the direction of Puerto Del Sol, one of the biggest city centres in Madrid.

“We're going for a walk.”

Anna is a girl and girl's seem to enjoy..what do you call it? The thing where they shop to lift up their spirits? Retail therapy, yeah, that. They do it when they're upset, right? At least, that's what the girls that I used to date did. Whenever something happened, I'd just had to flash my credit cards in various stores and all their worries and doubts automatically disappeared into thin air. It wasn't very surprising that Anna wasn't like that. She wouldn't even dare to step foot into the first branded store we walked past unless I persuaded her to just go and have a quick look, even that took a longer time than expected. It went on, and on as we ended up wandering through the busy streets side by side.

“Why are you doing this?” Anna lifted her head to look at me, pushing the top of her cap up so it cleared her vision. “Weren't you just avoiding me a couple of days ago?”

“Let's just say that I made a tiny mistake.”

“Tiny? My best friend had to be the one to break the news to me!” She scrunched up her nose.

“It's just some Spanish gossip magazine, it'll die down. You have no idea how many times the wags got pregnant.” I laughed, remembering how Xavi would stress over the news regarding Nuria getting knocked up with triplets in her belly.

“Oh my, that must be horrible.” She covered her mouth with one of her hands.

I nodded in response and peeked from the corner of my eyes to the other side of the street. There were people that wore shades over their eyes with big cameras in their hands scanning the area. Shit.

“Anna, uh..let's go there.” I grabbed her hand without waiting for a response and pulled her into Zara, the shop that was the closest to us to hopefully get away from the press.
