Avanna's P.O.V

Lines, curves, textures, all presented on a canvas as I finished off the last stroke of painting a bowl of tropical fruits that were beautifully arranged in the centre of these four walls. The room was still filled with the smell of fresh oil paint, everyone in the classroom have already began to pack up their things. Time does fly when you're doing the things you love.

A new semester has started. People would normally dread the thought of having to wake up for classes, hand in assignments and rushing deadlines, but I'm happy. The past few days have been wonderful, maybe it's because I'm actually able to feel like a normal person.

“It's great that we have this as our common class. I don't know what I'd do if I were to sit here with a sore back alone for hours.” Lucy said as she folded up her easel and placed it against the wall.

“Aren't you a social butterfly? Stop sticking to me so much and go make new friends.” I joked, continued by a short chuckle. Knowing that without her, I'd be pretty lonely too. I'm not exactly the most sociable person around.

“You better not cry if that ever happens.” Lucy pretended to sulk and lightly kicked the back of my calves as we grabbed our bags and materials to walk out. “You're not going straight home again, are you? It's still so early.”

“I don't think there's anything wrong with that.” I responded. I'm thankful for having a time schedule of only four hours of class a day. Any other student would be elated, at the thought of being able to hang out afterwards but all I've been doing since the semester started was to head home straight away.

“Come'on Anna, do something with your life. I can call Marc-” She said as she pulled her phone out of her back pocket.

“No no, it's fine.” I rushed over to stop her from swiping her finger, unlocking the screen. “I'm not feeling all that well anyways, I have a doctor's appointment.”

“I've been here for years, we all know that lying to your best friend's not going to work.” She held my hands tightly as she looked at me with a doubtful expression as we walked to the main entrance, down a flight of stairs. “Talk to me.”

Apart from helping Marc with his house fire issues, I've not spoken to a single player from the Barcelona team ever since that night. The night that Neymar kissed me. It left me filled with confusion, so many emotions were flowing through me at that time. Flashbacks, memories, the future, thoughts, I had too much to take in at a time. The only way I dealt with it was to run away from it even though I knew it wasn't right.

Not to mention that I've already made an appointment in advance, to see a therapist on the hallucinations and attacks that have been occuring lately. I only told Lucy that I'll be seeing a normal doctor because I don't want neither her or Marc to have to worry about me.

“Earth to Anna..” Lucy continued chanting as I snapped out from having a silent conversation with myself. “You can ignore me all you want, but don't tell me that I didn't warn you.”

“There's practically nothing to warn me abou-” I paused when my eyes caught the attention of a familiar white R8 that pulled up right out front of my university.

A few girls were crowded around from a distance, squealing in excitement and it made me curious on what was going on. However, it held me back from making another step forward when I saw that Neymar was in the driver's seat, staring straight at me out from the open window on the passenger's side.

“About that...” Lucy lowered her head and looked up at me with an expression that says 'oops, I knew you'd hate it but I did it anyways', which resulted in me letting out a groan.
