Suspect: 002
Last Name: Bingham
First Name: Maryanne
Relationship: MotherTuesday always called before she came home from work. Her work shift ended at 5:30, it was already 6:30, she was an hour late. "Maybe she's working overtime," Maryanne thought.
Maryanne stood up, walked to the kitchen and started to prepare dinner for her and Joseph, her husband. Tonight was going to be a simple casserole for the two, nothing too big, but Maryanne didn't have an appetite to eat, her stomach was too busy churning with worry. She prepared the ingredients, Maryanne filled the casserole dish step by step, placed it in the stove and looked at the clock. 6:45. Maryanne returned to her cell phone and saw her notifications empty aside from Joseph saying he was headed home. "Maybe Adam would know," she thought. Maryanne texted:
"Tuesday hasn't called. I'm worried." Sent 6:45
Minutes past and she sent another:
"Is she home yet?" Sent 6:49
No reply from Adam. Was he busy with Tuesday doing something? Hopefully. She'd call. Maryanne tapped her daughter's contact and pressed call, the dialing began, she waited and waited, the silence broke and for the first time tonight she heard her daughter's voice.
"Tuesday Bingham, sorry I missed your call, leave your name, number and message after the tone." Then was the familiar beep.
"Tuesday, it's Mom, I'm just a little worried you haven't called and it's almost seven o'clock. Please call back as soon as you can, I love you bunches angel. Bye." And like that, it was ended. Maryanne looked at the clock again. 6:50, that didn't take long. She texted Adam again:
"No reply. Her phone went straight to voicemail." Sent 6:50
Maryanne looked at the casserole, it was far from ready, she just needed to get things off of her mind. Joseph, her husband and father of Tuesday, came home. "Hi darlin'," the old man said as he hugged his wife from behind. Joe was tall and skinny, but had enough muscle on him to prove he was a man that worked hard, his big hands were calused and rough.
"Hi honey," Maryanne replied in almost a whisper, choking back tears of worry and fear. Maryanne stared at that dreaded phone hoping someone would reply with good news. This strange behavior of Tuesday had Maryanne on the edge of her seat.
"Darlin', what's the matter?" Joe asked.
Tears started to fall down her face, "Tuesday ain't answering, I'm worried, she's never done this before."
Joe's gray brows furrowed together, "You talked to Adam?"
"I texted him, he hasn't answered yet, I don't want to bother him too much, but what if he's hurting her?" She asked Joe, she wrapped her dark brown hair around her finger, a sign of anxiety overwhelming her.
Joseph grabbed his wife's hands and held them to his heart, "If he hurts our daughter there's gonna be Hell to pay." He said. "At 6:55 go ahead and text him again, we don't know if Tuesday's alright or not."
"I just hope she is," Maryanne sobbed into her husband's chest, her arms pulling him into a hug. "I don't want anything bad happenin' to her."
"I don't either," Joe whispered as he pet his wife's head. "But for now, we have to hope, Adam has to be takin' care of her. Now just breathe and calm down." Joe instructed his wife on some breathing techniques that calmed her of her anxiety, she inhaled and exhaled with him as instructed. "Good, good." Deep inhale and long exhale. Deep inhale and long exhale. They repeated the process until she was calm.
Minutes had passed and she texted Adam again:
"Still no reply." Sent 6:55
A couple minutes passed:
"Have you heard from her?" Sent 6:57
One more try for a phone call, still went to voicemail. Another text to Adam.
"She still isn't picking up. Phone dead? Should I call the police?" Sent 6:58
Another question came to mind, "Did she plan on going anywhere tonight?" Sent 6:59
Worry had gotten the best of Maryanne and her questioning started to flow. She just wanted answers and Adam wasn't replying fast enough to give them to her.
"Still no reply. Getting late. Reply A.S.A.P." Sent 7:00
"Is she home yet?" Sent 7:01
"Still no reply. If not home by 8:00 calling the police. Reply A.S.A.P Keep me updated." Sent 7:03
