10 - Make up

James' POV

4:00am

"James..."

"Oh lauren gising ka pa?"

"Uh no. Nagising lang because i had to pee. Pero nakita ko si Nadine sa living room. Akala ko sumabay na siya umakyat samin. Pero it looks like inubos niya yung three bottles. Can you put her to bed?" Lauren said.

"Sige na bro. Matutulog na din ako."  Bret

"Sabay na ako sayo Bret. James ikaw na ang bahala kay Nadine please. Thank you." Lauren said.

I went to the living room and saw Nadine na nakayuko sa table while sitting on the floor.

"Hay this girl talaga! Magiinom magisa hindi naman kaya ang sarili" i said

Binuhat ko si Nadine. I thought of putting her in Sammy's room but I can't take her to Samantha's room dahil amoy alak siya. Kaya i decided to take her to my room instead.

Nakahiga na siya. While I arrange her pillows. Maarte siya sa pillows beside her. She wants it in every side of the bed. While arranging the pillows, she talked.

"Did you mean it?" She said.

"What?"

"I don't know what i mean to you all i know is you're everything to me" she starts to sing Mean 2 U

"Go to sleep, Nadine."

"No. Talk to me, James." She said. "Talk to me, love" she's cracking her voice

It sounds like she'll start to cry anytime.

"Did you mean it?" She's now crying.

I looked at her.

"That you're not giving me a second chance? Nung narinig ko yung mga sinabi mo kanina i was relieved kase mahal mo padin ako. Pero nung sinabi mo kanina na you're not giving me a chance, naguluhan ako. Ano ba talaga, James? Tell me please. I know iilang araw niyo pa lang ulit ako nakasama after 5 years. Oo pinaghirapan ko na at pinagsisihan ang mga nagawa kong kasalanan. Pero don't you think that it's time? That this is our second chance to do whatever we want to do. Our relationship should have another chance."

"I love you, Nadine." Umupo ako sa kama habang nakatalikod kay Nadine.

"You love me? But you're making me feel like im the worst person in the world. Nahihirapan ako James. Oo dapat kitang paghirapan. Pero James wag naman ganito. Sinabi mo pa talaga sakanilang lahat na wala na akong chance sayo. You said that you're trying. Pero sinabi mo kanina na wala akong chance. JAMES ANG GULO GULO MO!" Nadine said. She is still crying.

Hindi ako sumasagot. Hinahayaan ko lang siya umiyak. Ang tagal namin natahimik pareho. Walang imikan. Hindi ko siya nililingon.

"Im sorry. Uuwi na ako." She starts to find her things. "Don't worry. I'll call papa to pick me up."

"But Nadine it's late already. Maawa ka naman sa papa mo."

"Sorry pero parang hindi ko kaya." She was about to turn the doorknob

"Sumusuko ka na?" I said. Natigilan siya and lumingon sakin.

"No James. Im giving you and me a space and time to think." Pinunasan niya ang kanina pa tumutulong luha. "Hindi muna ako magpapakita sainyo ni Samantha. Im not leaving you. Just tell Sam that i'll be going to spend a 3 day vacation with my family. It's not an excuse. I promised my brothers and sister that we'll go out of town one of these days. Kaya feeling ko, ito na yung time na yun. I'll call you na lang from time to time or Samantha can call me anytime." Nadine said
