"This house is gorgeous." My mom says as she analyzes each room in our new house.

"I knew you'd love it honey." My dad smiles

"Our old house is better." My twin brother Paxton says with an attitude

"Agreed." I say quietly before walking upstairs.

My whole family moved from the place we have called home since Paxton and I were born. We've always lived in the same little town in Minnesota, in the same house even. Now we are living in a big city in Florida and the school I will be attending has 3,400 students. In the town I lived in before the whole population was only 2,500, I am not happy about this.

I walked into my new room there was fresh paint on the walls and new wood flooring had just been put in so it smelled like a new house would. In my room there was a bed which was just a box spring and a mattress. Then there was two bedside tables on each side of the bed, a pretty white desk, and a dresser.

"We'll go shopping as soon as we get everything moved from the moving trucks into the house." My mom says as she stands in the doorway of my room.

"Okay." I mumble without turning around.

"Quinn, I know you're upset about this move but it's going to be nice here, we live an hour from the beach, we can go to Disney World as much as we want, and the school you're going to is excellent." My mom tries to cheer me up.

"I know, it's just a lot to get used to I guess." I sigh.

Later on we went shopping for decorations to make the house feel more homey. I got a simple white comforter for my bed and a bunch of purple decorative pillows. I also got a fuzzy purple throw blanket and a couple lamps along with some lavender candles. I was making my bed when my mom walked in my room.

"You better get to bed, you don't want to be tired for your first day of school tomorrow."

"Yeah after I finish this I'm going to shower and go to bed." I say as I spread my comforter across my bed.

"Okay goodnight sweetie. I love you." My mom kisses my forehead and gave me a tight squeeze.

"I love you too mom."
