Chapter 4

Rose

It's been about 2 weeks since that day and my mother came around with her new husband, Ryan. She ended up getting married again and I'm happy for her. I know have a step sister and brother.

Elizabeth came to with her husband, Peter, and her son, Liam. I was sad that I didn't get to see them fall in love or the marriage.

My sister ended up running away and no one knows where she is. 

Scarlett told me lots of things. We started by talking about her. Her favorite color is Pink she loves the Wiggles, anyway, they are way older than her, and she loves stuffed animals.

She talked about when she was young, or at least what has kind of happened to her.

She only had only good memories, which I was happy that she was having a good childhood. She remembers when Jack and Kat got married because it was last year.

Scarlett said that they were trying for their own baby, I didn't know why they would tell her that, I asked her and she said that she overheard them. Makes me wonder what else shes heard.

When we started talking about Jack, every second of hearing about him and Kat, broke my heart and I had to stop myself from crying sometimes. 

Today I was getting out, that I would only have to come back for checkups. They said that I should also get a physical trainer. Since I was in a coma for five years, I can't walk. They said if I got a physical trainer that I would probably be able to walk again in 1 or 2 years, depending on how much I try and move.

I was going to go live with my mom because she said she missed, I also don't have anywhere else to go.

I was getting my checkup and about to be signed out.

"Rosanne Kathrine (I don't remember if I gave her a last name), 22 years old, been in a coma for 5 years, can't walk, daughter is 5 years old. If checked out, will live with mother" The nurse said to the doctor that was doing the checkup.

The doctor that was doing the examination was a new doctor to me. I have met a lot of the doctors because most people didn't wake up after 5 years of being in a coma.

This doctor didn't look at me like a test subject like the others did. 

He couldn't have been for than 26 years old.

He checked my vitals one more time before nodding his head. He looked over at me and gave me a million dollars smile and started talking.

"Mr.Kathrine, you are all clear. Your brain is surprisingly healthy for someone that was in a coma for 5 years. I think we can let you go." He took the clipboard from the nurse and put his signature "Just make sure you come in for a checkup once a week" He then ripped off a piece of paper from his notepad "Call me if you have any questions" He said, smiling again.

I nod my head and look at the paper.

I would be lying if I said that I didn't find his attractive, but right now my heart is broken and I don't think it plans on healing anytime soon. Plus there's no way that I have a chance with him.

He left and since I couldn't really do anything cause I could walk, the nurse that to help we get dresses.

I had to wear a dress because they recommend I not wear jeans or legging for the next couple weeks.

After getting dress, the nurse pushed me in the wheelchair to the hall

My mom was waiting in the hall with Scarlett.

Scarlett was holding my mom's hand and when she saw me, her face lit up and she let go of my mom's hand and ran towards me.

"Mommy!" She said. She had some trouble getting on the wheelchair, but I helped her up and she hugged me when she was finally up.

"Hi baby," I said. 

She stopped hugging me and said, "Let's go to grandma's!" She said and pointed toward the exit.

The nurse gave me to my mother and she pushed me out while Scarlett was on my lap.
