The UF soldier dragged us outside. In the midst of all the snow, there were a dozen or so people moving the snow while members of the Unstoppable Force prodded them on.  Rykes shoved a shovel in our hands and told me to fill the wagon full of snow and drag it over "here". He gestured to a red wooden deck. Myself, being a strategist in the United States Army prior to the nuclearization of the planet, decided that the best way about this was to scoop two or three shovelfuls of snow into the wagon and then use the shovels to clear a path in the snow for the wagon, but instead of putting aside the snow, I would put it in the wagon.  I was in full snow gear, but with all that work I needed to take of my coat and hat. I worked in my boots and snow-pants and my T-shirt. Sweat made my shirt cling to my body. Rykes glared at me for pausing for even a few seconds. I turned and went back to work.

Suddenly, a cry rang out. I turned around to see Nightwolf with a bloody shovel standing over a beheaded Major Rykes. He made eye contact with me.

"You coming?"
