See The Light

The bright sun arises as you wake up,

yet, you close the curtains.

The happiness from your friends is bright,

yet, you shut their voices.

The fairy lights sparkle around you,

yet, you turn them off.

Now, you're in a dark, shadowed cave,

yet, you try find the light outside.

Why?

Because you miss it.

You always turned the light off

but when you need it the most...

it's not there.

Now, you're plummeting into darkness

that you loved oh so much.

But this time,

you try to get out of the darkness

you try to fight it

you try to find the inner light

you try to help others by waking up again

yet, you don't.

You can't.

Now you have the feeling of guilt.

Guilt that you didn't take in the light

and cherish it with others.

Guilt that you can't get out of darkness.

Guilt that you can't wake up.

Guilt that you can't

see the light.
