Just in case, you haven't seen yet, I recently published a LoTR Contest Book called the Battle Beneath the Trees!
It is fairly Mirkwood centric in its purpose but also rather accommodating of all approaches to fanfiction—(I literally just completely forgot how to spell "approach" that was awful wow)—so it would be super cool if you went over to check it out!
Regardless of your experience with writing fanfiction, the purpose of the book is to encourage writers, young and old, experienced and amateur, to participate in the LoTR world of fanfic and keep the fandoms alive!
