The champion of Unova was late.

I impatiently checked the wall clock as my paw tapped against the table. Pidgey shifted impatiently from talon to talon next to me and Charmander was snoring. Mudkip gave him a nudge and he jolted awake, realized where he was and tried to look intimidating.

Sunlight filtered in through a window in the small room as the guards near the door fidgeted uncomfortably. I sighed and tugged at the gold bandanna around my neck. It was required that all Freedom Fighters wear a bandanna or ribbon now, and since I was the leader of them all, my friends had insisted that mine be gold.

Plus, it matched my eyes.

My ears perked up as I heard yelling from the hallway. A group of humans burst through the doors and tried to look presentable. It wasn't working. A man with thick red hair and a yellow robe stepped forward as the others clustered and murmured behind him. I raised a eyebrow.

"You're the Champion?" My voice rang out in the silent room and the humans all jumped collectively.

"Uh, ehurm, yes." Alder stuttered.

"And you're the Eevee, the...Queen?" A human raised his hand and asked. I looked more closely at all of them an realized they were the gym leaders of Unova. I shook my head.

"I'm no queen. Just the Pokemon that freed the others." I said slowly.

"My Levanny!" A Gym leader suddenly blurted. He had curly hair, wore a green suit, and was carrying several used tissues in his hands. "Where is it!? It ran off, but I was sure that--" Sob. The dude broke down in tears and Charmander cringed. A few other Gym Leaders patted him on the back as Kip whispered to me,

"This guy needs to lay off the drama pills." I rolled my eyes and addressed the crowd.

"Your Levanny left because he or she wanted too." I growled. I hated it when we Pokemon were called its.

"Relax Burg." Alder soothed and turned back to me. "What do you want? You called for me to meet you here." I nodded.

"I'm here to state some terms about our new freedom." I declared. Pidgey handed me the piece of paper that had our demands on it. "First, all Pokemon shall be treated equal to humans if we are to resume coming back to civilization--" I was cut off by several shouts and objections from the gym leaders.

"Outrageous!" A man with a white beard yelled.

"That's nuttier than a Parcharisu's breakfast!" A guy in a cowboy hat snapped.

"You should just return to us, demands or no demands!" Another hissed.

I walked forward slowly and all noise died except my paws on the table. I came eye to eye with the gym leader who had said that last comment.

"Or. What?" There was enough venom in my voice to kill twenty Whailords. The gym leader studied his feet and took a step back. My head snapped to Alder. "Respect our rules, or lose our trust." I growled. His gaze was on the floor.

"I was lucky enough that my Bouffalant stayed with me." He said quietly. The Champion looked up at me with sad eyes. "I can't let people go on with out their Pokemon. Eevee, you're coming with us." He said firmly. Zoura bounded up to my side as the guards by the doors drew nets; the main form of Pokemon capture since Pokeballs had been destroyed. I sighed.

"Typical humans." I tutted and turned to their confused expressions. Unfortunately for them, I wasn't typical at all. Pidgey reached up to his brown bandanna and pulled out a whistle with one talon and blew into it. A shrill note echoed through the room.

Then the wall exploded.

Casual Friday.

All the humans took cover as a massive Flygon's head poked through the demolished rubble and grinned at us. "Hey'a boss! Got the signal!" He cried happily. I like to always plan ahead. Charmander, Pidgey and Zoura hopped onto his head and crawled on his back. Alder looked up, plaster covering his face as I shot him a look that said, You have made a BIG mistake.

I hopped on the Flygon's back as he soared away from the secluded meeting place, and back to our hidden island. All was silent for a while.

"Well that could've gone better." Zoura said, tugging at the blood red piece of cloth around his neck.

No kidding.
