Goodbye (Trigger Warning)

It was a lovely sunset, I spent the whole time writing letters to three people. Hours after dark I had finished off each note, the first I slid under Roger's door, then my fathers, and finally I ran over to Snot's place and tapped his to the window. For about 3 hours I sat on the roof staring at the stars, "See you all soon" I mumbled before heading back inside. The bathroom door creaked as I slowly budged it open, once inside I locked the door, not wanting anyone to see what was about to take place. I dug inside of the drawer looking for a certain item, eventually I found it, hidden in the drawer was a clean sharpened steal knife. I removed my glasses and set them on the counter and hopped into the bathtub. Finally the I murmured the words 'I'm Sorry' before slowly dragging the freshly sharpend blade deep into the belly of my forearm. The blood loss started to kick in, everything was wavy and cold, until it started fading, then black.

Snot's Point Of View

The sound of an alarm clock woke me at exactly 8:00 in the morning, I don't get out of bed until a little bit later, thinking maybe I should check in with Steve. I had noticed something on my window, I walked up to it to be reveled as a tapped piece of paper. I unfolded it and automatically knew the hand writing.

   Hello Shmuley,
If you are reading this . . . I no longer belong to the earth. Please don't freak out, it's better for me up there than it is down here. I love you with all of my heart, I really do, but some things in life you just don't know how to get through, I understand I could have tried harder, and I admit it was stupid to run away, but you still stuck by me, you showed me your commitment, and I thank you for that. I understand if you're angry at my final choice, but please don't be, if you need me just look up at the sky, I'll be there, I will make sure you can see me from here, because love finds a way, and no matter how hypocritical I am being right now, please never forget that I love you. I'm with  the stars now.♡
For the last time, Steven Anita Smith.

Tears welled up in my eyes, the short note was the final goodbye, and I didn't get to say I love you back. I ran over to his house as fast as I could.

Roger's Point Of View

I woke up too early today, 10:30, not my thing. After having my morning shot of vodka I walked down my stairs to head to the bathroom, when I had reached the bottom I saw a piece of scratch paper neatly folded. I opened it, I didn't expect to be from Steve, weird.

  Hey Roger,
You've been there for me ever since I was little, and even though you are a ragging alcoholic, sex offender, and so much more, you have always taken care of me, I truly mean it when I say thank you. This will be the last time I get to say that to you. Although I wish you could come with me, you can't, space is your home, and my destiny. Goodbye, Roger.
  -Steven

I finished reading right when I heard a violet knock on the door.

Stan's Point Of View

A note was right next to my door, I walked up and unfolded it, the note was from Steve, it was very short and vague.

I forgive you, if you need me, look at the stars. Goodbye.
-Your son

I already knew what was going on.

------------ --------------- -------------- ------------ ---------
Roger opened the door letting in Snot, they both ran up the stair to see Stan already banging on Steve's door, all three of them were shouting, when no answer came Stan kicked down the door to see an empty room. Everyone headed to the next closed door, which was the bathroom. Once more Stan kicked down the door but immediately ran out to get his phone. Everyone saw Steve laying there, eyes closed, a giant gash in his arm that was still gushing blood. Roger ran out terrified at the scene before him, Stan could be heard in the other room calling 911. Snot walked over to the tub and felt no heartbeat, only cold skin, Snot hugged the lifeless teen, tears streaming down his  cheeks. 'I love you too' was the last word Snot said to him. The paramedics came, declaring they got there too late and Steve had passed on, all three men stood on the grass as Steve was pulled away with a blanket over him, and that was the last they saw of him until the funeral.
