He woke up to the sound of his neighbor who seems to be practicing scream therapy every day. Back then, it took him a while to process what was the sound all about, staring at the ceiling for about ten minutes before getting up, and now, he had gotten used to it like it was his personal alarm clock, everyday ringing loud and clear at 7 am sharp. And today is one of those days.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Hearing the first note made his eyes shot up and sit on the edge of his bed and thought of what to do for today. Scrunching his left eye, he started to attend to his morning routine. After eating breakfast and throwing the garbage, he went back inside his room and noticed that it was silent, a sign that the therapy has finished.

Rummaging through his stuff, he set up his canvas just beside his window that faces his another neighbor’s window settled between some bushes and behind it is the view of sea. Seeing the sea always made his whole being calm, which was one of the reasons why he decided to live there.

He was shaken out of his thoughts when his cellphone rang, caller ID saying “J-Hoe”, which he answered after 2 rings.

Hellooooooooo my bro! Let’s go out later, and I’m not taking no for an answer.” He sighed before answering the person on the other line

“You know I’m not a fan of surprise parties.” And he is, he just wants to be in the comfort of his bed, listening to the rustle of the leaves and the birds chirping, making him feel relaxed, serene.

“I know, and I don’t care at all until you get laid”

He sighed,“Hoseok-hyung, don’t start”

“It’s your fault, I’m asking you nicely, and yet you’re acting like someone that has something shoved up his ass.”

He sighed again, internally, fiddling with the paintbrush between his fingers. It’s been a while since he had been laid, and the last one didn’t end up well, diverting the anxiety to painting which has been his hobby and it helped a lot with his self-expression, and made a name in it.

And instead of living in the city, he decided to stay in the near countryside, for he was not the extroverted type, having to be in a place with a lot of people actually doesn’t disturb him but when one of them, especially a complete stranger talks to him, acting like they’re close makes him want hide.

And now with his friend bringing up the topic, he’s gonna end up bugging him until he gets to agree.

“Still, ‘m not coming.” Taehyung said softly, but with finality.

“You sure ‘bout that?”

“Yeah.” Hearing that Hoseok gave up, sounding very convinced, he felt a sense of relief, and thankful that the elder understands but it was only short-lived.

“Well I ain’t. See you at 9. Haha byee~”

“WAIT! Hyu—“ the line went off
He palmed his face. Oh well, might as well dress up a bit. He looks up to his blank canvas. Maybe later. Then he starts sketching.

“HEY! I TOLD YOU I WAS COMING! WHY AREN’T YOU DRESSED YET?!”

“I was about to tell you I’m not coming but you ended the call.” Taehyung retorted, and almost cracked but at the same time touched (Idk, but yeah he is) when he saw Hoseok, looking a bit panicked and muttering about how important social life and sex life is and it’s part of his responsibility to  for Taehyung to have one.
