It's been a year.

First of all, again, a great big thanks to all who added this story to their libraries, to those who read, voted, and commented and also to the silent readers (if there are any)! Thank you for giving your time for this almost turning 3 year old story. It means a lot. Love you! ✨❤️

"Okay," Taehyung said, fishing the keys of his and Hoseok's apartment in his pocket, "So, uh, Jungkook, we'll eat first and talk about it and then we proceed to sketching."

Jungkook nods "Okay, it's fine with me." He looks at Taehyung who's now opened the door "Why only sketches though?"

"I don't want to bother you for too long." He replied.

Jungkook just stared at him. "Come in," he said "I'm sorry in advance for the mess, our room is usually clean, but due to school works, we barely made it through." He added.

Jungkook removes his shoes and walks in, looking around. Nothing much has changed since he last came; he got to notice some things he haven't noticed for he was sick when he stayed here.

He notices the differences of the roommates; he sees the pile of canvases and art materials in a corner, sketches posted on one side of the room. Hoseok's side was more on the stylistic side, with bright colors and has a few posters arranged in an orderly manner.

"Hoseok may be a party man, but he cleans more than I do." He explains as he puts aside one of his canvases stacked on the obvious side of the room. Jungkook has his eyes all over Taehyung's works; most of them unfinished ones that seemed best to stay that way; and some that was deserved to be done.

He didn't notice that he hit his head on Taehyung's back. "Oh, sorry" he said "It's just that—" he stutters as he locked eyes with the other male "—your works are..."

Taehyung sighed "Yeah, I know, I still have room for improvement."

"No!" he exclaimed, surprising Taehyung, Jungkook murmuring a "sorry", then continued "—they're beautiful, but most of them are unfinished..." he trails his fingers along a set of small paintings related to the sea "why?" he said, almost a whisper.

Taehyung stilled, the question resonating in his mind, thinking of what to answer.

Jungkook turned around, eyes glistening with curiosity. "It's okay if you don't answer it now, I'm just curious anyway." He smiled, and Taehyung felt that smile had just washed away his worries earlier.

While Jungkook was still looking over the paintings, he was actually thinking of a proper answer, ending up thinking that it might not satisfy Jungkook. When the latter said that he may not answer today, he was kinda relieved that he wasn't forced to answer, unlike those people who asked him before.

There are various reasons why he can't, well, there's the typical artist's block, laziness, and one more thing...

He lost inspiration.

People may say that artists can get various inspirations everywhere, but have you ever felt that though you found it, it's still not enough for you to finish a piece? And that's how it piles up in your head and in your room.

Taehyung was actually worried about this final requirement, this adding to all the things he's been worried about, but he's determined.

For her.

And Jungkook...Jungkook...he's hopeful. He wishes that this might help them be closer to each other, not literally, but on another level.

He throws his bag on the couch, and gestured Jungkook to sit first while he gets some plates for the cake they bought. When he came back, Jungkook was still looking at the paintings on the opposite side of the room.
