I woke up after a while. I was Somewhere I did not recognize, in some room with a rather nice look to it. I sat up which only caused more of a ringing in my ears, my vision was still fuzzy around the edges, I soon saw a familiar face at a dining table nearby. Axel. He was sitting with a woman with long black hair with tints of purples and pinks in it. How was that working?! It looked magical!
"Finally awake I see" I heard her speak, her voice was deep and enchanting. "Come join us for brunch" she offered. I stood and on my wobbly feet I slowly made my way to the table and sat down across from her, beside Axel. It was times like this that I was glad he was with me.
"Are you the one that crashed our carriage?" I asked her as I picked up a waffle with my fork. She chuckled
"Straight to the point I see. Yes, I crashed your carriage. Who am I? My name is Helena. What do I have to do with the demigod sons of Hermes and Clio? Well, I too am a demigod, daughter of Hecate." She explained as if she could read my mind. I didn't like the idea of her reading my mind as much. "Your friend here already asked."
"Hecate?! The same goddess that captured my beloved Apollo?!" I stood with rage. Axel touched my hand lightly
"Cool it mate, she's clearly capable of killing both of us..." Axel said.
"Not that I would of course, my only desire is to help you. You can fight dark magic with dark magic. I want to help you." She explained simply.
"Why should we trust you?!" I exclaimed.
"Fair point. You have no reason whatsoever to trust me. Except I could've left you outside. I could've left your carriage in pieces, I could've killed your pegasi." She explained as she gestured to the window. I sat down again and resumed buttering my waffle. She might be evil but gods, I was hungry!
"Fine. So why do you want to help us? Why in the gods' names would you want to betray your all powerful mother?!" I asked as I poured maple syrup on and started cutting it up and eating it.
"Simple. Because I absolutely completely and undeniably hate every bit of her and what she does" she said.
WHAAAAAT?!?!?!
