NaLi Fanfiction (Natsu x Lisanna)

The siblings arrived at the front door of their home, the Fairy Tail Guild. With time on their side, the three chattered when Lisanna's ears perked with shouts and curses.

"I told you Gray! That monster was mine!" his shrill voice hummed in her ears.

"You were too slow!" Gray replied.

"What did you say, Ice Brain?!", Natsu brought his head to Gray with a ready fist.

Before Gray could answer with more insults, the youngest in their team, Wendy,  saw Lisanna, Mirajane, and Elfman—and greeted them./

"Lisanna-san. Are you perhaps just got back like the rest of us" Wendy asked.

Natsu who finally, noticed Lisanna stepped away from Gray and smiled and waved. His smile had always been something else. His grin was like the warmth of sun that washed her from all the exhaustion and insecurities.

It had always been her safe place.

"From our job. I'm thirsty, a man should not be thirsty!", Elfman yelled as he entered first into the guild, and followed by Mirajane who ducked her head apologetically.

Lisanna looked at Natsu, a little stunned. It always like that. She always forgot that everyone had grown up into adults, with more responsibilities and other adults doing. She reminiscened when the two was young and free. When the world was just her and him. When he was the world. 

'Does he remember any of it? ' Lisanna then shifted her gaze to Lucy. The blonde was laughing at something he did and proceed to punch him on the head for the little accident that somehow, always occured.

Suddenly, Lisanna felt a hot liquid, glided on her cheeks.

"Lisanna...Are you okay?" Erza noticed. Her strong voice carried enough concern that it stopped Lucy and Natsu.

"Lisanna..." Lucy said.

Lisanna eyes went wide when all the attention pointed at her. She tried to do something to deflect that. Anything. Wiping her tears and keeping her little heart strong were the only thing she could do. But it was too much.

"haha, from where the tears came? I—I think I'm a little tired. I'm fine. Um, Natsu tell Mira-nee I'm going home first, okay?" without waiting for an answer, Lisanna ran.

Natsu had always have a good gut feeling. He narrowed his eyes when her body diminished into the sunset. "Gray, tell Mira that Lisanna is going home first," Natsu then starting to run.

"Heh? Natsu wait—What are you talking about?" Lucy asked.

"Lisanna isn't going home," Happy answered it for him and followed Natsu from behind. Not long after, Lucy decided to do the same.
