Naruto's breathe turned the air white. September's cold grip had finally taken it's hold on kohana. She pulled her jacket tighter across her chest. She was leaning on the hood of her car looking at the for sale sign in front of her.

A memory of her and sasuke running barefoot across a lawn similar to this replayed behind her eyes. The summer warmth had just kicked in and they had spent the day at the beach.... he had seen the house and declared they would own one just as beautiful, and she had felt loved.

But the house they had seem wasn't the soft blue in front of her but a light lavender. The picket fence wasn't white but instead a natural brown. And this wasn't the ocean but a safe forest with trees that reached for the sky and promised safe shelter. She took a breath and walked in.

The house had polished dark wood floors and soft white walls, the kitchen was the perfect size for her, she had decided to take Ino up on those cooking lessons.
It had four rooms, the master, and three more, one for her baby and two for guests.

This is how it would be. This was her fresh start.

Sasuke looked out his apartment windows, the skyscraper was elegant, sleek... but it lacked Naruto, it lacked the warmth and the yard with the white picket fence.

The amber liquid in his cup was drained. His brother watched him from a distance. And he hated it all.

Sakura had taken her to a furniture store. It had been strange being a 19 year old girl picking out a crib, but she had decided to wait until her next appointment. She concentrated instead on bureaus and a bed for her.

She decided on a dark wood bed with intricate carvings and a dark blue bedspread.

Sakura called kurama and the two spend an hour arguing over a pink or red couch much to naruto's amusement. She decided herself on a soft material lavender couch set with white throwpillows with little purple flower petals printed into the fabric.
Her bestfriend and soon to be sister in law proclaimed herself victorious since pink is closer to purple then red, causing kurama to sulk claiming his sister had forsaken him in favor of his fiancee.

Naruto smiled to herself at how lucky she had been to have these people in her life.

She just watched in amazement.

He watched In distain as itachi was introducing him to his new team, the annoying girl was just like sakura in the beginning, before she met naruto's brother.

Karen?,  Lauren?, what was her name again.... he signed in defeat as his brother walked over.

"This is Karin uzumaki she's the medical expert in your team." Itachi explained as the red hair girl walked up. She walked with too much authority if you asked sasuke, too much self assurance as she grasped his hand, as if she was good enough for the uchiha. He did have to give it to itachi the rest of his team was pretty great, good strong men with good track records.

He could make this work.

He had to.

Naruto rubbed her stomach absentmindly as she looked over her new room, the dark wood bed welcomed her but she knew she had to watch kurama put up the swings,  and sakura was going to take her to the hospital for another ultrasound.

She sighed deeply and shot one last look to the bed...

Naruto watched as the nurse took her blood and waited after for tsunade to give her the once over before she could retire in her brand new bed.

" well brat it looks like we can finally find out the gender"  some cold gell and a furrowed brow from the older women made the young blondes heart speed up " what's wrong?" Slipped past her lips in a faint whisper.

"Nothing, I just hope you can afford three cribs...." tsunade smiled and looked at the awe struck teen "three of them... please tell me their not identical..." still gaping at the screen naruto choked out

"Well you have two girls and one boy so I say you have a fair shot of them looking different kid." The women chuckled.

"Sakuras going to have a fit"

Sasuke looked down at the mail he had brought up by whatever person was in charge of that in a conflicted glare, half of him relievedand the other half distressed by the lack of blue hand writing and a handcrafted letter....

A tapping on his door reminded him that he wasn't alone.

"Captain are you coming back to the party or do i have to tell the crazy redhead where you are?" A lazy smirk fit the pointed teeth man so well.

Sighing,  sasuke grabbed a glass of burning alcohol and re-entered the society he recently learned he hated, his mother always told him not to hold the unknown above the known and now he was stuck with it. He missed the blue sky and warm look in the same blue sky eyes he loved.

The liquid lost its taste as did the room lost its color. The annoying girl was being held up by his brother and his father sat by his mother scowling. His mother seemed to wear a heartbroken look in her eyes and he knew.

He knew what he did was wrong , that his mother knew he broke it off with his home town and the wonderful girl he had.

And he knew that things could never be the same again.
