I walk awkwardly into the high school. The woman at the door greets me (I think) and I just nod my head (only polite thing I can do with these people).

Atleast I can read numbers, my first period was room 113, the name read Mrs. Stewert. It had to be on the first floor, because I heard numbers that start with "1" are on the first floor. I quietly looked around (got to love being a freshmen, geez.).

...

It took a few minutes but I finally found my room. I walked in as she greeted us all. I looked back to my schedule to see that my German class is 4th period.

"Hello, hello, welcome to your first period class Freshmen, my name is Mrs. Stewert." My mom told me my teachers know I don't speak English, they said they were willing to help me learn.

"Adelheid?" I looked at her and nodded. What else could I do. She nodded back and called everyone else's names. Two girls sat next to me, Alexis and Clarissa. I really hoped they wouldn't be weird and try to socialize. But I would be called "rude" for not talking back (I mean, I seriously can't! I cannot help it...)

...

Clarissa looked at me and smiled and waved, I think she knew about the whole not speaking English thing... I waved and smiled back, I guess it was stated polite to her.

I looked back at the teacher as she gave us all a compistion book... I think she was telling the others to write something... But I couldn't understand. So I wrote my own things like "mein Tagebuch für die Schule (my diary for school)." So maybe I could read all 4 notebooks (one for each year) when I'm old or have a job.

The teacher looks at what I wrote on my notebook and gives it a look (I don't really know if good or bad) and then she looks at me and smiles. I smile back to be polite, even though I don't know what she's smiling about.

I write on my book , (translated to English)

(This book is a bit in the future)

August 25th, 2014,

"My name is Adelheid, I am officially what they call a freshmen, a.k.a the first ever year of highschool. I really wish I was over in Europaschule (a school where you learn another language, etc.) I always wanted to take Latin or Russian there, but I don't really feel welcome in this school, yet, I hope.

My first period teacher is Mrs. Stewert. She seems like a very nice lady from her postures and personality. But I am not so sure, she smiles at my German words. I am guessing she is surprised or impressed about all the German. Since she is an English-speaker and is probably not bilingual. Anyways, I hope this is fun, and I have only been here for about maybe fifteen minutes. It's cold in here and I forgot my jacket >.<
