Investigation

I made me a little plan to see if Devonte is really cheating on me.

"Hello"

"Hey Mia can you come over and hang out"

"OH okay"

"Wear something sexy"

I hung up and made sure Devonte was in the shower. He had a tendency to walk out the bathroom soaking wet with with a towel and goes straight to the kitchen.

After a while I hear the door bell.

"Hey Mia"

"Hey. I got us some wine"

"Great"

I take the bottle and get some glasses from the kitchen.

"Let's watch a movie"

I get the remote and turn on Black Panther.

Then Devonte came out the bathroom just as planned.

"Hey babe guess who's here"

He look at Mia shocked.

"Hi Mia"

"H-hi"

They just stood there looking at each other.

"I'm gonna go put on some cloths"

He ran upstairs. Mia just put her head down.

"I think I'm gonna go home"

"Aww so soon"

"Yeah long day tomorrow by Terri"

She scurried out the house and sped down the street. I just laugh to myself trying to conceal my pain.

"Mia left already," Devonte said coming downstairs.

"Yeah"

The next day at lunch I got Katrina in my little scheme.

"Okay T take my phone and when I pinch you go to the bathroom and and answer it okay"

"Aight"

We go to our regular booth and sit down smiling at Mia. After about 10 minutes I pinch Trina and she excuses herself.

"Dammit," I say fake looking through my purse.

"Whats wrong"

"I can't find my phone"

"Aw that's to bad"

"Can I get your phone so I can call it"

She hesitated for a while then handed me her phone. We look up after we see a crowd of people standing up going to the counter.

"Oooo Terri they got choclate cake"

"You betta get you a piece before it's it's gone"

She smiles and gets up hurrying to the counter. I take her phone off my ear after I call Trina and go to her messages. I look for Devonte name but I dont see it. Then I see....

I press the button I see messages and pictures of  Devonte's dick and nasty messages they sent. I just froze. I delete that portion of history and sat her phone back down.

"I'm so happy I got the last peice"

"Congrats I know how much you like chocolate"

I see Trina come out the bathroom and I get up. I pay my part of the bill.

"Me and trina have to go now Mia bye"

I walk out the restaurant holding Trina arm tightly.

"Wait Terri what happened"

I didn't say anything I just kept walking. Her strong ass yanked me so I could look at her.

"It's true play. She fucking him"

"I'm bout to kick that hoe ass" Trina started walking back to the restaurant but I grab her hand.

"Naw I got this beating her ass ain't satisfying enough"

After work I drive all the way to my childhood home.

"Hey daddy," I say looking at him working on his mustang.

"Hey baby girl what brings you here"

"Actually I need a favor"

"Anything"

"You ever wanted revenge on somebody who did you wrong"

"Did that boy do something to you"

"No"

It hurted a little to lie to my dad but I wanted to do this myself.

"I need those two guns you hide up in your closet"

"No I can't do that those are my babies"

"Give em to me or im telling mom about that box of cookies in the tool shed"

"You wouldn't"

I lift my eyebrow at him.

"Damn. Alright come on"

I plaster a big smile on my face.

"A whole month Terri. Thats to long bae"

I told Devonte I was going on a one month business trip to Texas.

"I know bae I'll be back before you know it"

He definitely will. I'm gonna go to trinas house until 12:00 then come back here. Then all hell gone break loose.

"Why do you need all of your cloths"

"Babe I'm a woman"

He just nodded his head.

"I bought this for you bae"

He held up a light blue vase.

"It's beautiful," I say grabbing it rubbing my thumbs across it.

"Just like you. I'm gone  put it on the dresser by our room door"

He ran upstairs. I wipe a tear away from my face. 4 long years I been with this and he throws it down the drain.

A/n

This was a short chapter but next chapter there will be drama. I can't wait.
