CHAPTER 4: Cat Fights

          Our school tried to import some students from different schools to play basketball for our school. It is like their scholarship. I met 3 imports: JP, Carl, and Kim. I like JP. I have a crush on him. He is not-so-tall, dark and not-so-handsome. He’s just simple. I never get to talked to him because I’m shy but I always sneak out to their classroom to see him. I gave him a perfume on his birthday. I know his parents too well because we’re from the same province. They liked me but their son, I don’t know, we never talked. There was one day me and my classmates were fighting.

          “Alicia! You’re so dumb. I heard that you were telling Andrea that she’s a slut. Is that true?” Sydney asked. Well, Sydney is also famous around the campus knowing that she’s the prettiest girl in our batch. In our classroom, she’s friends with Jann, Mitch, Andrea and Bianca. For me, Allissa is the prettiest in our batch. She’s from the different class but they were all friends. They are one clique.

          “No I didn’t. And why should I bother spread rumors about you gals? It’s just a waste of time.” Alicia defended herself

          “Don’t talk to me like that! Don’t you know who I am? I’m the prettiest...”

          “Blah blah blah” Alicia Interrupted. “So what if you’re ‘known as’ the prettiest girl in our batch, still you are the meanest”

          “How dare you talk to me like that? You’re just a slut and that’s why Kent doesn’t like you anymore. Now he’s with Suzzie, One of your closest friend. Haha!”

          “Shut up Sydney! You don’t have any right to talk to her like that!” I burst out

          “You shut up! You’re not a part of our fight. So mind your own business. Oh, look. There’s JP, watch your words, suddenly he will not like you anymore”

          What did she just said? JP likes me?

          “Not my own business? Why? Did you hear a rumor about Alicia saying that you’re a SLUT? You’re just defending Andrea and I’m just doing the same for Alicia”

          “You’ll regret talking to me like that, gal. Watch your back. You might get stab”

          “Watch yours, I’ll stab you with a pen right now” she just looked at me and turned away.

          “Alicia, are you alright?” I asked

          “Of course, I am. Those girls just don’t have anything to do that’s why they’re bullying me. Thanks, by the way”

          “That’s nothing. That’s what friends do” I chuckled.

It was our dismissal and I saw someone in our corridor and my jaw dropped

          “Hi, Amber right?” JP asked

          “Hello. Yes. And you’re JP. What a wonderful surprised” he giggles

          “I know we don’t know each other too well and we were never been closed but I saw you. What’s with the fight with Sydney?”

          “nah. That’s nothing. Just some rumor spreading. Those girls are just bored and looking for a fight”

          “Really? You’re tough though” he laughed

          “haha! That’s what friends do. I don’t want Alicia to get into a fight. She’s so innocent”

          “That’s nice of you. Hey. I know you’re the one who gave me that perfume. Thanks by the way”

          “That’s nothing.” I blushed

          “So I guess I’ll see you soon. Goodbye”

I just waved my hand and blushed. I don’t know what just happened but I was happy. That conversation is weird but it’s worth a talk.

We saw each other again but we just smiled and went to our classes.

          “Amber! What the hell! Now you’re banging with Mitch’s boyfriend?! You’re a slut!” Sydney said.

          “Sydney, Sydney, Sydney. Poor little girl. Now she’s insane. Do you have to always ruin my day?! Shut up! I don’t even like Mitch’s boyfriend! We were just closed because our mothers are in a clique so stop assuming!”

          “Look what you’ve done to Mitch! Now she keeps on crying because of you! I know you and Mitch’s boyfriend have a relationship!”

          “That’s never going to happen. Now will you please wake up in your dreams? It’s not Alicia who’s spreading rumors about people. It’s you!”

          “I don’t spread rumors. It’s not my fault that that’s what people see”

          “Now will you shut up? Only stupid people believes in those shits”

Good thing she walked away. They became my friends when we were in kinder: Me, Sydney and Mitch. I just don’t know what happened. Maybe because I was putted in a different section then on 5th grade, I went back. They know that I have a huge crush on JP. Now they’re ruining it. JP is now being seduced by Sydney and brain-washed him so I never got to talked to him ever.
