Three months later.

It was Mary's birthday today, she was finally 16. Everyone that knew Mary was preparing for her birthday party, the restaurant was buzzing as usual.

"Are the cakes ready Ana?" Duncan asked, he was excited and getting impatient, "it's as if the time isn't moving!"

Ana slapped Duncan playfully, "oh Dunny bear, calm your brains down, there's only six hours left."

"Easy for you to say, it's not like the love of your life is adding another year! What am even saying?" Ana shook her head and continued whisking the egg whites, "I need pizza!"

Whenever he was nervous, Duncan spoke foolishly, he was disaster when it came to big occasions. Mary came from behind and wrapped her arms around him which caused him to relax, "hey love birds, not in here. . . Why are you even here Mary? Go home, and Duncan go and help Felix." Wyatt, the assistant chef ordered, he wasn't being rude, he was just always straight forward, even when he is being playfulious.

The two teenagers said their goodbyes and went out of the restaurant.

With the teenagers gone, the other waiters had to cover up for them, whilst Wyatt took over Ana's position, because she was baking.

"Damn Ana, that looks delightful," Wyatt commented, whilst licking his lips.

"I know right?! How about I give you some to taste?" She offered with a smile.

Just then Vera, one of the waitresses came in, "order 59! Is it ready?" The perky waitress asked.

Oh shoot. No cake for me. Wyatt signed

A few hours had passed and the restaurant was closing for the day, the staff were packing and cleaning up.

Soon after they made their way to the party venue, which was in Mary's back yard. Her family's house was big, especially the yard. Tables are chairs were decorated, colorful lights adorned the place. Some kids had already arrived, taking pictures, dancing and taking videos. Mary's name was beautifully decorated around flowers.

Duncan was in Zach's room getting ready when his phone rang, "hello?" The other person on the line said something, "oh okay, you will come when she is about to cut the cake, I'll text you. . . . Okay, thanks bye."

Duncan was planning a surprise, he wanted to make Mary happy.

Zach walked into the room, "Bro are you ready? Mary will soon be downstairs," he put his phone back in his pocket, nodded his head and exited the room with Zach.

"I can't believe my baby silly sister is growing up," Zach mumbled dramatically.

"I know right, my baby is now. . ." Duncan started fake crying, causing Zach to laugh, "stupid boy."

Ana came downstairs too, wearing a beautiful red dress, hugging her curves. She was making sure everything was set, ordering the waiters to carefully place the cakes that she baked on the table.

Claudia, Mary's mother was helping out as well, "Ana dear, have you ordered the pizza's?"

"Yes aunt, but Uncle Ben offered to pick them up," she replied, Ben is Mary's father.

"Oh goodness, I hope he doesn't eat everything before the party," Claudia said shaking her head, her husband was capable of doing that and she knew it.
