The Guardian plants one end of his staff in the ground, with his fists tightened around the upper hilt.
"The darkness has shown itself."
He says, in a tense state of focus.
Rone and I look at each other.
Lightning flashes in the Guardians eyes as they open.
"Shift, its time to see how strong you really are. Prepare yourself for battle."
He turns around.
"Kaleo, send word to the others, engage all defenses."
He says.
Kaleo nods and speeds off into the distance.
"And what of us?"
I ask.
"You will need armor fit for a Nolite. Let's get you a new suit."
Rone looks at me, than back at the field of carnage.
"That could be Earth right now."
I mutter quietly.
I turn to him.
"Then well take it back, just like we did the first time.""When that thing appeared, it sent out a pulse and the plant life reacted to it, and so did we. Tell me I'm not the only one that felt that push and the pull...?"
Grey looks at her in question.
"Oh yes you did. Don't give me that look, Greyson. Anyway, the reading I got, showed the terrain for about 34 miles in each direction. But... if you look closely there are some places on the map that didn't react to that pulse.
These are kind of like, Energy Dead Zones. Places that don't even register on the map. Technically, they don't exist. I'm willing to bet that's where they're hiding."
I take a look at the monitor in her hand.
"But, what if they're just holes?"
I ask.
"Believe me, an energy pulse that big would've had some kind of reaction."
I hear a body hit the ground with a hard thud.
I turn around.
"You'll never guess what I found."
Smiles JayVett.
I raise my eye brows.
She looks at the both of us in excitement and out of breath.
"Well tell us?!"
I ask.
"You'll have to see it."
Finley and I trade looks.
"JayVetta, where are my men?"
Finley asks.
"Oh they're fine, they just couldn't keep up."
"You left them behind?! You idiotic moron!"
"Damn."
Mutters JayVett.
"What's the one thing Larson said before we came in here?"
She growls.
"I wonder who's going to take the first crap on an Alien planet?"
Suggests JayVett.
"Everyone, Stays, Together Dammit!"
Finley shouts.
"Oh right, the old ESTD."
Finley turns to everyone else, who is staring at her wide eyed.
"Everyone pack up, we move out in five."
Everyone gets to work immediately.
"Now, you and I are going to go find my men before something eats them. Grey, you're in charge while I'm gone."
