All we can do is run.
"It's not over Donnie."
Says Alice.
"We're all alive. You have an army at your back.
You have your weapon and you've got a reason to use it."
I look at her, and for the first time in days, I smile.
She gave up her life out there to come find me.
She really does love me.
I look up at rone.
Finley.
Grey.
JayVett.
Kaleo steps into the creator and glances at the Fallen Guardian in a look of sorrow.
Then he looks up at me.
"Our people live, Shift. Strong one we are not all that is left. True this may be our clans only military force left, but our home lies elsewhere.
There's still hope. We've all seen what you're capable of. I can't think of anyone whom I'd rather follow into battle, than you."
I look up at all of the Nolite warriors.
They lift weapons.
swords, maces, axes.
All of which they raise to the sky and release a war cry.
I pull my staff from my back, and lift it along with them.
She takes my hand once more.
Alice looks at me, wearing her classic grin across her lips.
"So I ask you again, what happens next?"
