I hang, suspended from chains.
"Tell me where the breach is, and this can all stop."
Says a deep guttural voice.
"The only directions I have for you lead strait to Hell."
He cackles and smiles.
"Let me down, I'll draw you a map."
I growl.
"I like you. You are bold."
He lifts a glowing metal rod.
"But bravery will only carry you so far."
I look into his eyes, staring daggers at him as the hot metal burns my skin.
He turns away from me, and drops the rod.
"No matter."
He lifts a clawed hand.
A section of the floor rises with a hiss.
"I'll get one of you to talk."
I look up.
Xander hangs there in the same chains as I, dropping with frozen water.
He breaths heavily, on the verge of frostbite.
I see his body shiver as he takes a breath.
"Mason, help me. Please."
He chokes out.
"Xander."
I mutter under my breath.
"Let him go."
I say.
"Fire, or ice. I wondered which would break you first. But it seems pain won't do it for you."
The creature spits.
He grabs Xander by the throat.
"Where, is, the Breach?"
He asks.
I purse my lips.
I hear Xander's throat being to crack as the creature increases the pressure.
"I know where it is."
He chokes out.
My heart stops.
The creature looks at me with crimson eyes.
Xander looks up at me through sunken eyes.
"I'm sorry."
He mouths.
I feel the heat on my stomach once more.
"Now, What is it going to take to finally break you?"
