I believe it all began with a egg created along while ago by diablo and when hatched bugs came out and they began to feed on digimon and humans which caused them to spread and grow, there is also like a system you have to do in order to stop this all the queen bugs are in a traingle form around the digital world with one main queen in the middle, you have to take down the ones in the triangle before you defeat the main queen or they will hust cont. To multiply, when you kill the ones in the triangle the other ones they created will disappear leaving the main queen to finish off
