Jay's P.OV.

I dragged Rydia and Nyla to the area at the center of the group of cabins. There was a bonfire, waiting to be lit. All campers went there every night, and the happier the campers, the bigger and brighter the flames were. It's also where you usually get claimed if you haven't been already.

"Why are we looking at the remains of a bonfire? Rydia asked.

"It's not just a bonfire!" I protested. "A lot of memories happened here."

"Like what?"

"Nothing big," I said, but it was big. I was claimed on my first night here.

"So can we go to the cabins?" Nyla asked.

"Yeah, sure," I told them. "Go ahead." I gazed at the bonfire.

I remembered sitting at the bonfire, waiting for the sing-along, but instead, I was claimed. At first, everyone was uneasy, then they were interested. It's not everyday a child of Zeus is claimed. Then, after about a week, monsters kept attacking the camp, the weather was terrible, and once, I actually got struck my lightning. If I was normal, I would've died, but I'm not normal. Monsters popping up around camp? That wasn't normal either. Thalia's tree repelled monsters.

Nyla snapped her fingers in my face. "Jay."

"What? Oh, sorry. Your cabin's over here," I said and walked toward a dark, creepy looking cabin.

"Thanks," Nyla said and walked inside.

I turned around and walked toward the Zeus cabin. It was one of the biggest cabins. Hera's cabin was just as large as Zeus's, but it was only made out of honor. Hera only had children with Zeus, and despised demigod children of Zeus. A.K.A....me.

I walked inside the cabin, but to my surprise, there was somebody inside.

"What are you doing in here?" The girl asked.

"What are you doing in here? I'm the daughter of Zeus," I said.

She got off her bed, and walked over to me. "I'm the daughter of Zeus."

Okay, first, how could she be a daughter of Zeus? We look completely different. I have black hair. She's a blonde. I have amber eyes. She has brown. I'm tall. She's short. She has freckles. I don't. She's girly. I'm tomboy. How?

"Okay," I said, not convinced. "What's your name?"

"Amber, you?"

"I'm Jay."

"That's a guy's name," she said in disgust. "Why do you have a guy's name?"

I rolled my eyes. "Ask Zeus. He named me, apparently."

"Probably hoping for a son," Amber said. "Two girls for children? No. That wouldn't work."

"How do you know you were born first?" I asked.

"Oh, silly," she said. "I wasn't a mistake. Zeus told me so, himself. He also said he wouldn't want two children born in the same century." She looked at me, and I noticed she was wearing a heck of a lot of makeup. "Are you sure you're a daughter of Zeus, Hun?"

"Yes," I muttered through gritted teeth. "I am."

She looked at me from head to toe. "You know, you could use some new clothes."

I looked down at what I was wearing. A plaid shirt and jeans. What's wrong with that?

"Plaid? Ew, no," she said. "You need something sparkly."

I gripped the edge of my sword. "No. No I don't."

"Of course you do!" She said in a squeaky voice. "Come on! It'll be fun!"
