Chapter 11

Jay's P.O.V.

After everyone would finish eating, we would go back to our cabins for inspections. Each day after breakfast, a camper would go around and inspect the cabins on its neatness and other things like that. The cabin that was the least clean had to clean up after dinner that night.

Dionysus was the first to leave the table. A few campers left after him. Then a few more left. Then another group of campers left and so on and so forth. People were walking around, talking to each other, so I decided to sneak over to Rydia and Nyla.

I knelt down beside them. "What classes do you guys have first?"

Nyla pulled her schedule out of her sweatshirt pocket. "I have..." She squinted at the paper like it was written in hieroglyphics. "It's...Winged Horseback Riding? Or am I losing my mind and reading that wrong?"

While Rydia pulled her schedule out, I checked Nyla's. "No. You're right. It just means pegasi. You'll be riding pegasi with the Demeter cabin teaching."

"I have Free Choice," Rydia said. "You?"

"Archery with Chiron. What do you guys have second?"

"Free Choice," Nyla said.

"I have Sword and Shield," Rydia said.

"Okay. So Arts & Crafts is just making your own weapon with the Hephaestus cabin, Canoe Racing is with the naiads, the Climbing Wall is with the satyrs, and Sword and Shield is with the Ares cabin. Oh, and you can choose more than one activity to do while your free choice time, but Arts & Crafts takes up most of the time. So choosing that means only that activity during free choice for that day," I explained quickly. "It should say where each class is on the schedule."

"It does," Nyla said. "What do you have?"

"Swim & Beach time with the nereids," I said. "Seems like Chiron doesn't want us in the same classes."

"What about third?" Rydia asked. "Maybe he's not separating us completely."

"Winged Horseback riding," I said.

"Monster Assault techniques," Nyla said.

Rydia groaned. "Maybe he does want us separated. I have Archery."

"Hand me the lists," I said. They gave me their lists and I checked to see if we had any of the same classes.

Rydia's Schedule:

Breakfast (Dining pavilion) - 7:30 to 8:00

Cabin Inspections - 8:00 to 9:00

Free Choice (Lake; Climbing Wall; Forges) - 9:00 to 11:00

Sword and Shield (Right side of arena) - 11:00 to 12:00

Archery (Center of arena) - 12:00 to 1:00

Lunch (Dining pavilion) - 1:00 to 2:00

Winged Horseback Riding (Stables) - 2:00 to 3:00

Free Time - 3:00 to 5:00

Monster Assault Techniques (Left side of arena) - 5:00 to 6:00

Swim & Beach Time (Beach/Ocean) - 6:00 to 7:00

Capture the Flag (Arena) - 7:00 to 8:00

Dinner (Dining Pavilion) - 8:00 to 9:00

Sing-A-Long (Center of cabins) - 9:00 to 10:00

Prepare for Bed - 10:00 *Lights out at midnight*
