Chapter 2- Ignited
It's been a hour since we left the school and all i've been doing is staring out the window to afraid to start a conversation with him.
"Veronica. Why did you choose me?"
"I choose you because your fearless and your strong willed and you don't see that often. When I was a little girl doing research on who I was going to bond too, no one stood out like you did. My father said that I should have pick someone better suited because at that time you had cancer and we didn't know if you were going to make it. So my dad told me I had to pick another because you were weak and he didn't want the chance of me living a life without someone to bond to. I stood up and told him straight out that I wanted to pick her and that I knew that you would make it and after that my dad didn't say anything about it. He knew right then and there that my mind was already made up and nothing could change it. No matter how hard he tried. Does that answer your question."
"Yes it does. Thank you. Do you know why Ren is being so quiet. I thought he wanted me alone so that he could get to know me better and vice versa." My phone started ringing and it was my dad so I knew that I had to answer.
"Yeah dad what's up.:
"Honey there has been an accident and when I tried your school they said you didn't show up to second hour."
"Dad what happened. Is everyone alright."
"It's your mom there was a car accident and she's in the hospital. We don't know her condition yet, but you should get down here as soon as possible."
"Okay i'll see you soon." I hung up and started crying.
"What's wrong Rose."
"MMMMyyyyyyy....." I couldn't get it out of mouth since I was crying so much.
"Mom. Hospital. Now."
"Okay. Hold on we will be there soon. Don't worry I'll be here for you. For whatever you need, don't hesitate to ask. I'm sorry Rose." I couldn't talk anymore, so I just sat there wondering if I could have helped. I started feeling this warm feeling inside and my arms started to glow.
"Ren, what's going on with me."
"What do you mean." I pointed or tried to point at my glowing arms.
"You need to settle down Rose. You unlocked your powers and if you keep on getting angry or upset you will blow up. I thought we had enough time to train you, but since you need to go to your mom. I was going to train you that's why I took you out in the first place." I tried to calm down, but I couldn't.
"Veronica help Rose she can't control it without you. You need to finish the bond and share everything with her. If not she will go atomic and blow this whole place up. She won't be able to live up to her destiny and we both know where that will leave all of us."
"But how can I? I never learnt how to do it. We were just told to let it happen naturally. The only time that this has ever happened is when a God chose a mortal to be his wife and queen. That has been outlawed because the mortal took the power and tried to overthrow her husband."
"That is true, but in this case she has all the power already and she needs you to help control it. She is special and needs help. Can you help her."
"Yes. Just tell me what to do and I will do it."
"Okay. You need to touch your mind with hers and get her to open up completely towards you. It will help if you talk through with her too. She needs to know that you're the one trying to get into her mind completely. I'll let you know what needs to be done after you've made that connection."
"Ok."
"Rose i'm gonna try to help you, but you need to help me."
"Okay. I don't know what's going on, but it hurts so bad."
"I know I feel it too, but you have to trust me can you do that."
"Yes I can."
"Open yourself up to me. Completely and fully."
"How?"
"Just let your walls drop to me and me only." I opened up to her completely and it was hard. I've never opened up to anyone like this. I felt vulnerable and scared.
"There that's enough. You did great. Don't worry I won't use any of what I've learned against you." Since she looked through my mind I took this time to look into hers. She's hiding 3 people from her father. She loves all three of them with everything she had. It was Draculaura, Artemis, and Apollo. Why she loved them I had no idea.
"Why do you love those three people so much. You can tell me I won't tell anyone I promise."
"Their my kids. My dad doesn't know that I had them and the father doesn't know either. Only my mother knows and she told me that not telling anyone would be the best in this case. Just because of who their father is."
"Who is the father if you can tell me."
"The father is Anubis."
"You mean the Egyptian God Anubis."
"Yes. If he knew who knows what would happen."
"What do you mean what would happen?"
"He is supposed to marry someone else before."
"Is he married now?"
"No she died unexpectedly. She was riding her horse when something scared her and her horse bucked her off and stampeded over her body repeatedly."
"I'm sorry that any of this happened to you. You should be happy. What would your dad think of this."
"He would be mad at me for doing this. When I was growing up....." I heard the grumble of the engine die down.
"We are here Rose. Let me walk in with you. You guys shouldn't be going through this alone. I have a feeling that this was supposed to happen."
"What do you mean wasn't supposed to happen. Do you think that me finding out sooner has cause my mother to get into an accident."
"I'm not for certain, but I just have this feeling that something seems off or wrong." I can't believe that I might have caused the accident my mother was in.
"What am I going to tell my dad when he sees you."
"Just tell him that you were too upset to drive and I volunteered to drive you so that you wouldn't get into a crash. I'm pretty sure that he won't mind. He seems like a nice guy from what I overhead from the call. Before you even ask how in the hell did I know, I will tell you. Each person has a unique ability that only they have. Mine is hearing. I can hear better than any living being that has lived, is living, or will live. Yours is actually never before has been seen. You have fire in your heart and lightning. We can only have one power that is unique, but you have two. I will teach you to use them properly.
"Okay. There is one thing that I need to know before we go in the hospital."
"Yea what is it Rose."
"Who threw that fireball at me in the gym while I was skating?"
"That would be Sekhmet."
