The boys had stayed up and talked most of the night, before Louis went to his own room. The two of them went to bed with smiles, feeling like a weight had been lifted off them. Though they only got about three hours sleep before the twins had devised a plan to wake them up.
So Harry woke to daisy jumping on his futon, and Louis with Phoebe on his bed. Harry sighed and arose from the bed while Louis grumbled for his sister to leave him be. "But Louis it's Christmas! Santa came!" Pheobe squeaked and ran out of the room. Presumably to go back to the presents.
They both got out of bed, much to their distaste, know their mothers would kill them if they didn't. They got dressed and both made their way to the lounge room, entering at the same time, they made eye contact and Harry looked at the ground, trying to hide his blush and smile. While Louis just smiled at the boy who obviously hadn't changed much at all.
Harry sat on the lounge next to his mother while Louis sat on the ground, daisy sitting in his lap. Jay walked out of the kitchen with a cuppa in hand, "about time you two got up!" She teased. "Can we open them now mum?!" Pheobe whined and jay chuckled at her. "Go nuts!" She said and they did, the twins teared the paper and screeched at the sight of their new toys.
Fizz got a new laptop, and Lottie got some more makeup. Louis was as excited as the girls about their presents and Harry smiled at the boy, reminiscent of their first meeting when he was playing with his little sister. Louis would always be a kid at heart. Then Louis and Harry found their presents hidden under the tree.
Harry got a rolling stones jumper and a new set of headphones he'd been wanting. He hugged his mother and she planted a kiss on his cheek. Louis opened the the small box and his mouth fell opened as he looked up at his mother. "No way!" He smiled running over to his mother and embracing her. "What is it, Lou?" Lottie asked what everyone was thinking. "Tickets to see Steve Aoki in February!" He cheered waving the two tickets in the air, everyone smiled at the dramatic performance.
The twins began unwrapping their toys to play with while the other sat in the kitchen. Harry stood over the fry pan while Anne buttered the toast and Jay made the hot cocoa. Louis sat at the island bench with Lottie and Fizz, staring at Harry's ass, thinking no one was watching. "Better not burn my bacon, Harry" Fizz teased. Harry turned around spatula in hand and raised his brows.
"I beg your pardon, Felicite, but you know very well that I don't 'burn' anything I cook." He waved the spatula as he sassed the girl. "So you cook often?" Louis asked, meeting the boys eyes. Harry smiled shyly "yeah..." And turned back to the stove, jay and Anne looked at one another with wide eyes and Lottie nudged Fizz, gesturing they leave.
"Don't think I can't see you two sharing your excited looks" Louis spoke nonchalantly at the woman who were whispering to each other. Harry chuckled, blushing a little as he played with the scrambled eggs and maple bacon. Jay looked over at her son who was smirking at the woman. "What's going on here? You two are talking now...?" She asked, the excitement evident in her voice and expression. "We talked last night" Louis smiled at Harry, "we worked things out" Harry added, dimple sticking out as he smiled back at the older boy.
Anne and Jay cheered as Louis and Harry shared shy but caring stares. They called the girls in and they ate breakfast together, talking and acting just like they used to.

After much begging from Pheobe and Daisy, they ended up at the park where Harry and Louis met, the girls wanting to play on the snowy field. Louis, Anne and Jay sat on the bench while watching the twins. Though as soon as Louis felt a snowball collide with his cheek, he got up and joined the girls.
Harry pulled up in his mother's car, not too long after. Tugging the scarf around his neck, really feeling the winter air. Louis spotted him and excused himself from the game, making his way toward Harry. "Where did you go?" Louis asked as he sat next to Harry on the equipment.
Harry pulled his hand out of his pocket, holding a small blue box with a sliver bow on top. "I bought this, freshmen year." He smiled down at the box, "I was going to give it to you before you left for Uni, as an early birthday present." He shrugged sadly. Louis looked into his eyes, feeling extremely guilty.
"Anyway..." Harry chuckled. "I think you should have it now" he handed the box to Louis who took it with a smile. Louis undid the sliver ribbon and opened the lip to reveal a sliver chain with a paper airplane dangling from in. "It was suppose to be a 'when your gone I can still be with you' kind of thing. I don't know, kinda stupid" Harry shrugged looking down at his twiddling thumbs.
Louis looked at the boy, smiling at the boy, trying to contain his watery eyes. He was the sweetest person he'd ever met. He didn't say anything, he simply reached for Harry's cheek, cupping it in his gloved hand. He pulled Harry to look at him. He looked into his green eyes. He looked so vulnerable and shy, Louis just couldn't help himself.
He leant in and softly pressed his lips to Harry's. The boy kissed back immediately and they both felt fireworks. Harry let his arms slide around Louis neck, pulling him closer.
They pulled apart and Louis chuckled at Harry's swollen lips. "I can't believe you kept it, all this time." Louis smiled sweetly, letting a single tear roll down his cheek. Harry cupped his cheek, using his thumbs to swipe the tear away. "Of course I did." He smiled.
