Chapter 5

I ended up spending the night with Jack and we kind of cuddled the whole night.

I woke up and rubbed my eyes.

Jack was laying next to me, facing away from me.

I got up and stretched then walked down to the livingroom.

I turn on the tv and see that the 7 am news was on.

Dang I'm early.

I change the channel and find The Fresh Prince of Bel Air on and watch that.

I grab and blanket and cuddled in that.

After 20 minutes and almost dozing off, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and I rested my head on the person's chest.

"How did you sleep?" Jack asks.

"Good" I reply and he smiles.

I change the channel to VH1 and there was actual music videos.

"What do you wanna do today?" he asks looking straight at me and I shrug.

"We can have Violet and Walker come over and have like a movie day or something" I suggest.

"Sure but now let's just have us" he says and I nod.

We watch the music videos, singing along to some.

"Kayla" Jack says and I look at him.

"Yes?" I say hesitant.

"I need to ask you something important. Well to me it is. And I get if you don't but I need to get this off me chest" he says and I raise an eyebrow.

My heart beats a bit harder than normal.

Is he asking what I'm hoping? idek.

"Kayla, will you be my girlfriend?"

Yep, it was.

Wait so he did like me.

Like how I liked him.

Except I love him.

Does he love me?

All these questions in my head are leaving me speechless and the more I'm speechless, the more Jack is waiting.

"Yes. I will. I mean...yes" I stutter our and he smiles.

He kisses my forehead and we continue watching the videos and in the corner of my eye, I can see Jack still smiling widely, showing his dimple.

I smile as well and kiss his cheek. He looks at me and them kisses me fully on the lips.

We stay like that and he starts leaning me back on the couch and now he's hovering over me as I lie down.

"So what did we miss" I hear a familiar voice and I feel Jack's head land in the crook of my neck and he lets out a groan.

"Really Walker?" Jack says as I laugh.

I hear Walker laugh and Violet giggle and they sit down.

Jack gets up and sits down under my legs.

He grabs my hand and plays with my fingers as he talks with Walker and Vi.

I grab his hand with the hand he was playing with and intertwine our fingers, leaving me with butterflies in my stomach...

"So seriously, what did we miss?" Vi speaks up.

"What does it look like" I laugh and she smiles.

"Yay! Jayla is FINALLY real!" she jumps around and I sit up, leaning against Jack mainly because Violet was coming closer and closer to me.

"Violet, calm yo titties. You're scaring me" I say with wide eyes and Walker pulls her down and she lands on his lap.

We continue talking and my phone rings.

"Hello?" I answer in front of them.

"Is this....Kayla Jacobs? Daughter of Susan Jacobs?" a lady asks.

"Yes.." my heart pumps harder and I sit up straighter.

"We have got your mom on a secret line that she wants to talk to you from. Would you like to speak to her?" I sigh of relief and happiness.

"Of course!" I say excitedly and the lady switches the lines.

"Kayla?"

"Mom!" I put the phone on speaker and everyone circles around me.

"I have Jack, Violet, and Walker with us on speaker" I say smiling and I hear her laugh.

"I've missed you guys so much" she says and some tears come down my face.

"I've missed you too" I say and the rest say their 'I've missed you'

"I just wanted to call because I know I haven't kept in contact for a very long time so I wanted you to know that I'm ok" she says and I smile and laugh slightly.

"Thank you" I says and Jack holds me in his arms.

"So anything new?" she asks

"Jack and Kayla are finally dating after a million years" Violet exaggerates and my mom laughs and gasps.

"Finally" I hear her funny tone.

"Jack, hurt her I hurt you and you know it's possible" my mom says and Jack laughs.

"Of course Sue" he says and kisses my cheek close to my ear.

"Walker, make sure of that" she laughs.

"Ma'am yes ma'am" he does a salute and she laughs again.

"He just did a salute" I say and laugh.

"Had a feeling" she replies.

Everyone was in a giddy, laughing mood.

"I'm so sad I have to say bye now. We have to do training now. I love all of you kids. I tried calling your dad but his troop was in fight" yes my dad is also in army.

Marine to be exact.

"Ok. I love you mom"

"Love you"

"Love ya"

"We love ya" everyone says and we have to hang up and it got me sad and I started crying.

"Babe, it's ok. She's ok and we know now" Jack tries to call me down.

"I know but that's the last time I'll get to talk to her for a while and I haven't been able to even call or see my dad for almost 2 years.

I just... I don't know" I say and he nods.

"Yeah" he says and hugs me closer.

"Group hug" Walker says and everyone hugs me.

"I love you guys" I say and we all separate.

"We love you too" Violet says.
