Chapter 8

Jack's P.O.V

The bell rang for the end of the school day and I met up with Walker, Violet, and Kayla. I grab Kayla's hand and we all walk along the sidewalk towards our neighborhood.

We decided to hang out at Walker's house because...I'm not really sure why...

We went on Netflix and started watching some SNL.

Kayla and I took up the whole couch. I was laying down with her on top of me. One of my hands were tangled in her hair and her hands laid on my chest.

That's actually a lot more comfy than it sounds...

After a while, my phone started ringing.

I grabbed it out of my pocket and checked the ID which was a number that wasn't saved to my phone.

I sat up, Kayla sitting next to me but her leg was still on me.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Yo Jack, it's Ryan" Ryan?

We hated each other and he was one of those bad guys.

"Um hey" I say wrapping my arm around Kayla's shoulders.

"Um I just thought you'd know I'm with Josh"

"Ok and that's my problem because...?" I ask.

"Well I have to hurry cuz he's in the bathroom right now but we were talking about stuff and then..."

"What?" I say getting impatient.

"Well, it's about Kayla" he says and I look at her and get up.

I walk to Walker's room and law the door.

"What about her" I say through my teeth.

"Um so he started talking about trying to get her back and then he started getting really serious and started saying that he might...threaten her" he said fairly fast but good enough for me to hear.

"What the fuck!" I say loudly.

"Where are you guys at" I say angrily.

I'm gonna beat the shit out Josh and I don't care what the fuck happens.

Nobody does that or say things like that about people I love.

Especially Kayla.

"Do you know where Stephens Pizza is?" he asks.

"Yeah"

"We're in that alley" he says.

I'm confused. Why the fuck is he in the alley.

Doesn't matter right now I'm gonna hurt him still.

I go to the living room and put my shoes on.

"I'll be right back guys. Gotta do some stuff for my mom" I make up quickly.

"Um...ok" Kayla says. I hate lying to her like this but it's for her.

"I'll be back babe" I kiss her, grab my jacket and head to my destination.

I was now about 5 minutes away when I started thinking more about it.

'He's in the bathroom right now'

'We're in the alley'

What the f...

"Dail!" I hear the familiar voice.

I look to my right into the alley that I know they were they talking about.

"Josh" I say with my hands in my pocket and walk towards him.
