Chapter three

 A dizzy sensation invaded my body and I was soon rendered useless as I became numb to the point I couldn’t even move a muscle in my body.

Letting out a shaky breath I couldn’t help or even try to stop the over flow of tears that ran down from my eyes even if I wanted to.

My breath caught in my throat and I began choking on air as I refilled my lungs with a much needed breath.

 My head began pounding filled with the sound of my distant heart beating, my breathing started to come in short pants.

I was going to suffocate to death this was the final straw for me I was finally going insane.

Turning around the site before me amazed me, there stood Leah with the same 10 year old body.

MY hand instinctively went straight to my eyes and began rubbing them furiously in attempt to rid my mind of things that aren’t possible.

“Yes I and really here Hadley. I will be the first of many ghosts you will be able to see, you see when you turned 16 you got the full curse.” She paused eyeing me over.

“What is the full curse?” She let out a deep and hollow sigh.

“You are cursed by the devil Hadley. It has been in your family for many generations you see, the devil curses you with the power to see ghost and have those dream visions of yours. The Lightwood’s are one of the 8 family’s being cursed with this, and no one knows why that is. If you don’t learn to deal with this I am afraid to say you will go insane, those dream visions, and senses will get much stronger.”

I knew she wasn’t done but I held my hand up ever so slowly to the point where she could see it then let it drop gently to my side.

She didn’t listen and continued “Just like how you can see me you could never do that before except in your dreams. You must go find other cursed ones I am only allowed to give you one name, and you must search for this name till you get the right one. Elliot Grayson. That is sadly all the information I am allowed to give you, but I can visit you more often to help guide you.”

“So your saying that I’m going to go insane if I don’t find these other cursed people.” It wasn’t a question because I knew the answer.

“Yes Hadley, you must find Elliot Grayson he will help you and now where there are one there on many. Be warned some of the family members have already killed themselves so there are few left, most let their family line try to stop but they always end up getting pregnant one way or another. You are the youngest Lakewood living so you must hurry before the devil realizes what is happening.” She looked around scanning the area.

“Thank you for trying to save my sister but you got the year wr…..”Just like that she was gone as if she was never there to begin with.

What did she mean about the year?
