It was another chilly spring morning, tom had woken up at the crack on dawn again like he always does to work out before heading to school. He lives in almont and goes to almont high with his best friends Jim and Kate they've been there for him since before he can remember.
Tom gets up out of bed and looks to his window to see ice forming on the outside of the glass. " wow, its another chilly spring today" he thought, he shook the thought and headed down stairs to get breakfast before heading to the gym, tom entered the kitchen and flicked the lights on and walked towards the fridge and got out butter and bread made some toast and got ready then walked out, as he was making his way to school after his work out he got to school before everyone else, he sat at the canteen reading a book called 'the wake of dawn' until he felt a buzz.
It was a text from Kate, Kate: hey tom, are you at school?.
Tom: yeah I'm just reading before first period, why do you need something?
Kate: yeah I do can we talk later during first lunch?
Tom: yeah sure I'll meet you at the canteen then.
After an hour or so kids started showing up, ' I better start making my way to my first class' tom mutters. After tom had finished both first and second period he headed to the canteen to meet up with Kate. " tom! Over here" Kate yelled getting toms Attention. Tom sits next to Kate and looks her in the eyes " so what's this thing you wanted to talk to me about" I say waiting for her reply. " well, I wanted you to join the track team" Kate said " Kate, I don't know, I don't get into sports because of my past, and I don't want to talk about it, I'm sorry I have to go" with that tom walked away quickly before Kate had time to reply. Kate went to find toms sister rin to ask about what tom meant about his past that was so bad that he didn't get into any sports.
Sorry guys I'm going to stop it there as I have a headache but I'll continue once I feel better.
