Chapter 3.

"We need to talk" tom said in serious tone Kate was alittle uncomfortable but she knew what he wanted to talk about so she kept quiet, "no doubt my big mouthed sister told you why exactly I stay out of being the centre of attention, and especially sports, but it saves me from a lot of explaining, now do you understand why I rejected your offer before" tom said sitting down finally, Kate joined him and spoke, "it's already one month into the school semester and has anything happened yet" Kate said "well..no" "and have people made fun of you" "no" tom said, then join me and do the thing you love again, don't worry I'll be there with you every step of the way, I'm the track captain after all if anyone messes with you they have to answer to me" she said gesturing to herself, tom couldn't help but chuckle at her "how much time do I have to answer" tom asked "only until tomorrow morning" Kate said "okay I'll sleep on it, but no promises okay" tom said.

"Okay" Kate said smiling, with that he went to his next class. it was along day after that talk but finally tom starting heading home, he lived just inside the woods so he would train and run afew miles before and after school each day but today was mentally draining for him so he decided to head straight home and sleep. He didn't  bother to shower since he didn't stay in the heat all that much today, he walked up his stairs to the bedroom that he calls his own, his sister was already home and alseep considering it was eight on a school night, he threw his bag to the ground and flopped on his bed quickly falling asleep.

Tom woke up and saw a figure taughting him "we need your help" the figure talked more but was muffled to much to understand, there was a flash of lighting then, tom jolted up, it being a nightm. "What the hell..was that" tom questioned himself grasping his heart and waiting for it to slow down. After he finally calmed down tom decided to shower since he didn't get to yesterday, after showering tom started putting on his clothes, he put on stylish pants, and put on a pearl white button up shirt and over that he put on a leather jacket, "all done, oh almost forgot these" tom said putting on his aviator shades. With tom dressed and smelling nice he headed to school.

Tom ajusted his leather jacket and got in his all black sports car, he put the key in the ignition and started his car, while reving his car tom smiled knowing his day was going to be awesome. tom thought driving his car would impress Kate. Because even though tom didn't show all the time he's had a crush on Kate since he met her a three years ago. With toms car finally warmed up he headed to school in style, while heading to school his blonde hair with a streak of red right near his right eye was flowing in the wind. 

After tom arrived near the car park at school he spotted Kate "hey Kate, want a lift" tom yelled out. "Oh, hey tom sure I'd love a ride" Kate said, tom handed Kate a pair of aviator shades and she laughed putting them on. Tom found a parking space and turned off his engine, Kate got out and said "thanks for the lift tom can we talk about your answer during first lunch" "yeah sure" tom said getting out and putting his glasses in the glove department and throwing his jacket on the seat. Got his bag and keys and started his way to his first class.

Tom was making his way to class when he saw Jenny, a popular girl who he's know since childhood, jenny saw tom and ran up to him leaving her friends, "tom how are you, it's been to long where have you been" she said "oh, you know not making myself stand out,  the usual" tom replied "so what are you doing now" she asked " just heading to first period is all tom said looking like he was uncomfortable "what's wrong tom" she asked "well you know how your popular and I don't want to stand out, well your the centre of attention at school and everyone is staring at me" tom finished, "oh, sorry how about you and I hang out after school, after I do my cheerleading" she said, "yeah maybe" tom said saying goodbye to Jenny. 

Tom finished first and second period but the people around seemed to be talking about him, tom tryed to ignore them, he got up out of his chair and got his books ready to leave for lunch when the bell went for first lunch, tom headed straight for the library on his way he saw people staring and whispering, but tried to seem like he didn't hear anything. He made it to the library and found a quiet room and settled down, drifting off to sleep, he dreamt of another world, he felt like...he new this world, had he seen this place before no he couldn't have. Suddenly everything went white and a soft voice called him "tom....tom..." tom opened his eyes to find a sleeping Annie on his shoulder.
