Your phone vibrated, a text showed up on your screen, a reminder of a meeting in ten minutes. A meeting where all the directors gathered and also the CEO himself– if only he chose to show up. Quickly, you grabbed your notebook and a pen and rushed to your boss' room.
Knocking on the glass door of his office, he told you to come in.
"What is it?" He asked, spinning on his chair.
"We have a meeting upstairs." You reminded him. He stood up right away and buttoned his suit.
"Oh, right." He walked passed you. "Come on."
You walked behind him until both of you arrived on the 31th floor. The last floor on this building. The floor used for the big boss himself, the CEO. The atmosphere here was really different. There weren't cubicles or messy copy machines stations or things that was just unpleasant to see.
The room was really huge and very light. It wasn't made from marble or gold or anything, but it's completely glazed and the floor shined as if someone has been polishing it the whole day.
There were a receptionist at the front, as usual, and there were leathered seats, a small aquarium filled with pretty tiny fishes and some expensive looking flower arrangements placed next to the spacious reception desk.
"This way, please, Sir." The woman behind the reception desk pointed her hand to her left, telling you and your boss where the room is.
"Uh, excuse me, but i need to go to the toilet first." You slowed down. The woman immediately showed you the direction to the toilet and you drifted off quickly.
The toilet was a lot more something that the one on your floor. From this you could tell that this floor was really for the VIP only.
Walked out after doing the number one, you adjusted your skirt and the collar of your shirt. Looking right and left, trying to find the way the woman showed you earlier.
It was the room on the left you stood up in front of. There was no number or anything on the wooden door and the glass were covered with blinds, so you were pretty sure it's the room.
Slowly, you pushed the door and it's clicked opened. The room was dimmed and it was not crowded. You stepped in to found only one man sitting at the end of a long table with a meeting situation projected to the gigantic white screen attached to the wall. You could see your boss sitting on the table on the screen and other people you know you would have the meeting together with.
The man spun his chair to face you. His look was half serious half annoyed by your sudden existence.
"Uh..." He kept silent. "I think i got the wrong room." You turned around. "I'm sorry." Quickly you grabbed the door handle and swung it open.
"Stop."
You did as he told you. It was like a spell, so strong that it made you do it un hesitantly.
"Were you intentionally making your way to me or is it just a coincidence we are meeting already for the third time." He asked after he cleared his throat. Supporting himself with his arms on the table, he looked at your eyes strongly.
"Excuse me, but i don't quite understand by what you meant, Sir." You looked down. Intimidated.
"The purse incident, yesterday on the elevator and now." He pointed out.
Ah... it's him.
"I... didn't intentionally do that, Sir. I'm sorry."
"Ah..." he stood up and walked painfully slow to where you were standing. "I don't know what type of an employee you are, but i don't take risks." He said. His voice sounded lazily attractive. "You know my face already."
