14. hidden injury

Jonahs POV

As soon as the purge was over we rushed Zach and Lauren to the hospital and someone had already confirmed that Madison had broken her neck so she was dead but when we got there we were early as there wasn't even a line its probably because people mainly focus on killing people and not severely injure them

The doctor saw them and immediately got some doctors to take them into rooms and told us to sit in the waiting room and gave us forms to fill in for them just the basic questions we had done them all and I handed them in "Do you think he'll be ok?" I heard Jack say "Will Lauren be okay though she looked completely drained of energy" Daniel asked

"She's always healed but she's never been in a state like this" I told them all as tears dropped to the floor "B-but Zach had a hidden injury I saw it when we had to get him to stand up" Jack said and we all faced him "Wait wha-" Corbyn was going to say but a doctor had came in looking down and we all exchanged looks of worry

"I'm sorry but they have both passed away Zach had a terrible gun wound in his chest and Lauren had been drained of to much blood we're sorry we really are there was nothing we could do to help them" The doctor said and I collapsed to my knees balling my eyes out "M-my sisters dead" I said " They were to young to d-die" Daniel whispered as the all hugged me we all had to go home and I sat there just staring outside at the dark night emotionless my sister was gone my best friend was gone

And they aren't coming back

( I literally cried so much writing this the next chapter is the final chapter )
