The next morning, I woke up to the very loud call of my phone on the table beside me.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ziva, it's McGee. Gibbs asked me to check in. How's it going across the country?"
"Good, I think. I'm not too sure, I have only just woken up but I think we are meeting with Isabelle Taylor and her Husband Archie and their 2 youngest kids, Max and Ethan. They came around last night while I was out with the kids and suggested a play date since their twins, Ethan and Max are the same age as Tali".
"That's great Ziva. I will call tonight to see if you found out anything".
"Okay, McGee. Talk to you tonight".
"Talk to you tonight, bye".
"Bye".
I put my phone back down on the table before throwing the covers to the side and strolling downstairs to see why it is so quiet.
When I get downstairs, I hear quiet whispers and the smell of scrambled eggs waft from the kitchen.
I follow the scent to find Tali sitting at the kitchen table with her cereals and Matthew in his bouncer at the side of the room, happily playing with the soft, dangling toys. Tony is standing over the cooker, cooking scrambled eggs as some light music plays in the built-in surround sound.
"Ima!" Tali yells happily as she notices my figure next to the doorframe.
"Hey baby girl" I smile happily as I walk over to her and I place a kiss on her head as she continues to contently eat her chocolate shredded wheat.
I walk over to Tony and I wrap my arms around his stomach, pulling him out of his daydream.
"Morning sweetcheeks" He smiles happily as he places a hand over mine that are rested on his stomach.
"Morning" I mumble into his shoulder as I rest my head on his shoulder, briefly closing my eyes.
"How did you sleep?" he asks as he continues to stir his eggs, making sure they don't burn to the pan.
"Good" I reply as place my chin on his shoulder.
"Okay, good. I made you some buttered toast. It's on the table next to Tali".
"Okay thank you" I say as I place a kiss on the side of his head before walking away and taking a seat next to Tali at the dining table.
