Honestly one can argue the word in an attempt to be inclusive is incredibly disrespectful.
You're not only undermining OUR languages you're in essence anglicizing it.
Latin languages do NOT follow English grammar laws and you should honestly fucking respect that.
For example
LatinAs signifies the person is a Latin female
LatinOs depending on context means a group of males or mixed gender.
ALONG WITH THAT
People seem to be under the assumption Latinos are a race?
It's not Janice 💀
It is an ETHNICITY meaning we come out or family from Latin countries.
Race wise we have literally every single fucking one
You can be racially white AND be Latino as the two aren't mutually exclusive.
Tbh with faceclaims it's no different then using say a American person to play an English one.
Along with that people make such a big deal over "being represented" and it makes a lot of full Latinos scratch their heads because well we are.
Latinos have their own HUGE industry filled with pretty much exclusively Latinos and tbh I haven't seen non Latino Europeans or North Americans give a single fuck.
All in all whatever y'all THINK you know about Latinos from tumblr probs isn't a thing.
Btw just bc your great great great grandmother came from A Latin country it doesn't make you special or really Latino.
It's like me calling myself Japanese because my great great great grandfather was a quarter.
