Kira walked upstairs leaving Mac and Daryl talking in hopes that whatever was left simmering with Daryl Mac was able to soothe. She hated the feeling that when they got separated his past came to haunt him. There was nothing that could be done about it though and hopefully this laid it to rest.

Stepping into the hall she could hear some of the group talking and shook her head. She didn't like these people anymore than Mac did. She loathed a good portion of them and thought they were nothing more than dead weight. Daryl was the one who more open to helping them. Maybe life had been harder on her as far new people went than him. She had tried letting people close and it done nothing but bit her in the ass every time. Daryl didn't let people close. He struggled and fought alone through everything until Mac. It was hard to think you needed people around with a presence like Mac there.

"Kira."

Looking over she nodded at Lori and kept walking. She had nothing to say to the woman and there was truly no reason for her to even try and speak to her. They had done fine so far avoiding each other after Lori realized she wasn't going to be some lapdog for her whoring self. Fuck her. A smile split her face as she recalled Mac calling her Olive Oyl out on the road and threatening her.

"There you are. I was curious about when they'd let you up for air." Andrea smiled at her and hoisted a bag over her shoulder. "Did they say if this place had power or anything?"

Kira shrugged, "Didn't think to ask about it."

Both women turned their heads at the sound of heavy boots and seen both Daryl and Mac step around the corner. Mac nodded at her and Daryl kept his eyes away from everyone. Whatever was eating at him hadn't settled yet. He looked lighter in a sense but something else was still burning through him and she didn't need to see his eyes to know. Rick and Shane turned towards then and she seen Daryl's head lift his eyes locking on to Shane's with a burning hate. Kira swallowed at the tension that was between the men and her eyes went to Mac standing with his brother.

There were times when you couldn't really look at them and see who was the older. You couldn't tell my their nature and how they acted because they were so different with each other and then with others that it left confusion. But standing there and seeing the dark look that was coming over Mac while he sized Shane up was fearsome. She had no doubt who he was or what he was to Daryl in that moment. He was more than what he said he was. He was more than a murderer, it was painted black but somewhere in that darkness Daryl was his guiding light. Shane had threatened his baby brother and had almost cost him his life. Not only that Shane was oblivious to the danger that festooning the room and he seemed smug.

Rick walked closer to Daryl his eyes widening seeing the same thing Kira was seeing. Shane followed closely behind no doubt whispering his madness to Rick about the brothers and her. She couldn't erase the nauseous feeling the man gave her and just turned her back on them looking back to Andrea.

"Are you going to ask them about power or if anything like that runs?" Andrea's voice was low and soft.

Kira looked over her shoulder and was met with Mac's eyes on her. His finger was skimming the dark leather of his belt and the wicked depths of his eyes had her heart climbing out of her throat and tracing that same belt. He gave her a full smile that came nowhere near his eyes, it was more of a snarl. A menacing flashing of teeth you only seen in the wild among male animals when things were heating up.

Walking towards him he angled his body towards her while still managing to keep Daryl in his space. Shane was watching her and she cringed away from his eyes and stepped towards Mac. Tilting his head towards her his eyes searched her face and she seen something flickering through his deep blue depths and she was almost positive he seemed unsure. She hadn't said anything after his confession, in a way to her but seemingly not to Daryl, instead she had given them the room they seemed to need as brothers. Daryl was hurting and Mac was the one who had been there for him through the years always at his back, his side, his mind, and heart soothing those demons. Who soothed Mac's though? Daryl was a lot of things for him. He was his brother first and foremost. The first person that she knew Mac ever cared about and might truly ever love. He gave him a sense of belonging and family. Someone who he had been able to bear his soul too and it seemed now he trusted her enough to let her see that side of him that she knew teased around his eyes with dark thunder clouds.
