He had a bullet with a name on it and it was begging for release. He was silent in his rage as he moved through the woods. He could hear Mac moving opposite him and pushed himself deeper into the woods. Mac was pissed but there was something in his brothers eyes that let him know that Mac was close to snapping like before. Mac never let anyone close to him and even still sometimes Merle was a direct challenge for him but Kira had blown through his walls like it was nothing quicker than she had even him.

If Daryl had to he'd crush this world with the flames of his hate and obliterate all things that were what Shane loved. He would rip these fucking woods apart and find that cock sucker and make him wish he'd never took his first breath of this world after the fall. If Kira was hurt, if he got there and she was hurt there would be nothing to stop him from leveling him. Mac couldn't do it. He wouldn't let him. He wasn't sure his brother would come back from this one if he got there and she was dead. He'd lose himself in that roiling blood bath and after all the time it took to get him back before would have seemed like a cake walk.

"Mac?" Daryl's voice was rough and it felt like he couldn't get enough air, "Answer me goddamn it."

"Get out." Mac's voice was closer than he expected and he turned seeing him standing just back almost in the dark. The light was cutting his body in half shadowing him giving him a haunted look. "I don't need you fucking doing this shit!"

Daryl turned full towards him and seen the blood drip down his hand. He could smell the blood and liquor in the air and his mind tried to drag him back to that house with his father. It was close to those memories seeing Mac likes this..here with the smell of blood, hate, liquor and abuse filtering through the air and into his lungs.

"You hurt?"

"What the fuck you think?" Mac snapped his fist clenching and the blood stopping.

Daryl had his answer and moved towards his brother. Mac wouldn't look at it and would let whatever was wrong go until there was a bigger problem at hand. Mac tried to step back from him but Daryl was quick and snatched his wrist jerking him forward and throwing all his weight into the move and forcing Mac into the light.

Daryl didn't react when he got his first look at Mac fully. His throat was wet with blood and his hair was mussed up no doubt coated in blood as well. It wasn't all his there was just too much for it to be all his and him be standing. Daryl didn't need to look around to know there was a body somewhere and he let out a breath. Mac had been on a downward spiral since the shit with their father happened.

"Mac."

"Fuck off Daryl."

Growling Daryl moved forward his hands connecting with his brother's chest and slamming him back hard causing Mac to stumble. He hadn't anticipated the move from him. Mac's eyes blazed the first spark of life he'd seen in months. Mac snarled and swung suddenly his fist catching Daryl's jaw and they fell into a brawl both matching the other knowing the others moves. In the end Mac had him pinned though his knee pressing into him holding him in place while his arm was around his throat bearing down.

Daryl's chest was heaving as Mac fought his demons. "WHY!" Mac barked his voice strained and heavy.

His arms fell away from his throat and Daryl rolled away from him landing on his stomach breathing heavy. Pulling in deep lungfuls of air he cut his eyes to Mac and seen him laying completely still. "You fucking dumb motherfucker. You wanna act like this fine fuck you but I aint setting here watching you send yourself straight to fucking prison or worse." Daryl snarled rubbing his throat.

When Mac's eyes finally snapped open he seen anger roaring through them but there was something else too and that alone had Daryl wanting to kick his dick up into his throat. "You blame me and don't fucking say you don't." Mac's voice was different.
