Erika POV: Last night was nice. Scott was so sweet, and a real gentleman. The food was amazing and the conversation wasn't awkward, but I have to say that something was missing, that certain spark wasn't completely there. I'm sure it'll come in time though. Anyhow, after dinner we had gotten pretty drunk and ended up at his apartment and I can't really remember anything after that. Yawning, I get out of bed, shower and change into a crop top and shorts, readying myself for Jake's vlog. He was going do a "boys vs girls" Nerf war, and wanted everyone on team ten to participate. I was actually kinda excited, as l love these competition kind of things. I couldn't wait to kick ass.

Later-

We had divided up into our teams, and were all chasing each other around the house. A lot of people were already out, and I was the only girl left. I knew all the guys were looking for me, so I was hiding behind the door to the office. It was going great until I suddenly heard loud footsteps near the room, so I tried to run out. It was too late. Jake walks in, smiling devilishly, and points his gun directly at me. I do the same, and we stay frozen in that position. Then all of a sudden he turns his gun slightly to the left and shoots the wall; right next to my head.
"Stop playing with me," I say, my gun still pointed at him. He slowly walks closer, and I slowly back up. Then he suddenly pins me to the wall, and I don't know how to react. His eyes stare into mine, and I'm suddenly aware of how close we are. He lowers his gun, and starts to slowly graze it up my thigh, across my hips and rests it on my waist.
"You could just shoot me right now. Even if I shot you back, your team would still win," I whisper.
"But that would be no fun," he whispers back. My breath hitches, and everything starts to blur. I can feel his breath on my collarbone, his grip on my arm and the scent of his cologne, which was beginning to overwhelm me. Then something hits me, sharply stinging my arm.
I look down to see that it's a bullet.
Shit.
Jake turns, and we both see Anthony standing in the doorway, grinning at the realization that he'd gotten me out. Kade runs in with the vlog camera, at which Jake jumps off me and begins cheering with Anthony. I pout at the camera, while Jake and Anthony scream "Boys, boys boys!" as loud and as many times as they can. They run over to me and yell in my face, leading me to flip them off and walk out of the room. As I leave, I can't help but to remember the intensity of the moment between Jake and I. As much I want to, I can't deny the spark between us, the exact thing I felt I had lacked with Scott. Why was life like this? Why did I have such a strong connection with a guy who was wrong for me in every way, while I felt almost nothing for the guy who was my perfect match? I flopped into bed and quickly fell asleep, exhausted from both running around and trying to figure out my fucked up life.
