Erika POV: It's been a few days since I yelled at Jake, and things are still tense between us. I thought about how what he had said was true, how I had already done this for him several times and hadn't really cared about it. But something was different this time. Maybe it was because I liked Sage, and I didn't want to hurt her. Or maybe it's because it reminds me of who Jake can be sometimes, a guy who barely understands or cares about anyone but himself. Not that he's a complete monster or anything, but the rate at which he goes through girls doesn't really reflect well upon him.
While I sit in the office and think, Emilio walks in with a giant vase full of red roses.
"This was just delivered for you Erika." He places the vase on my desk.
"For me? Who would get me flowers?" I
had just broken up with my boyfriend so it couldn't be him, and it wasn't even my birthday or any special day. Then I notice a card in the middle of the bunch.
"A 100 roses for 100k!" it exclaims. I turn it over and see "btw I'm sorry" scrawled on the back.
"I really am," I hear a voice say and the footsteps of someone walking into the room. I look up, and see that it's Jake.
"You got me this?!" I ask. He gives me a sheepish grin.
"Just wanted to congratulate you on hitting 100k on Insta."
"And also that I'm sorry for making you deal with all the girls I fuck around with. I'm an adult, and I should be able to handle that on my own."
I smiled. "I really appreciate this Jake, Thank you." I get up to give him a big hug.
"Can I join too," asks Emilio. Jake laughs, and yells "group hug!" prompting Emilio, followed by Chance and Anthony to run over and tackle us to the ground. Soon I'm being crushed to the floor by four heavy boys, while Tessa attempts to pull me out and Nick laughs while snapchatting the whole thing. Soon all of the other guys run in and pile up on me, with Kade now filming for Jake's vlog. But even though I can barely breath, I'm still smiling. I really wouldn't want it any other way. I really do love these idiots.Later-
Jake POV: I swirl around in my chair, reviewing the footage we took today. I had pranked Logan by duck taping half his room (even the tv) and it was good stuff, at the least going to get 4 million views. Also, I had basically fixed everything with Erika. I'm glad things are chill again, it's super awkward to fight with someone you live with. All in all, a great day for me. I look up, and across from me I see Erika continuously swiping on her phone. Curious, I get up and walk over to her.
"What are you doing?" I ask, peering over her shoulder. She shrugs, then winces as she rubs her shoulder.
"I'm so sore," she groans.
"Seems like you need a neck massage," I say, and I begin to massage her neck. I ask the question again.
"I'm on Tinder, why do you care," she says. "Because I like you," I blurt out.
"Shut up," she says laughingly.
"No for real, I just don't get why you would need to look for a guy on an app when you've got a great one right here," I say.
"Where," she says, looking around in an exaggerated manner.
"Haha so funny. But besides me there's also Chance or Anthony. Or even Tristan. Or again, me." I say. She shakes her head.
"Yeah, no. I think you all are adorable, but you're also all my dear friends. Emphasis on friends."
"Ouch, you friend zoned me pretty hard there. At least you didn't brother zone me. That's impossible hard to come back from."
"Don't push it or I'll go there." she laughs, getting up from her chair.
"Alright, I gotta go make dinner, do you want some?" She asks.
"Duh, I love your cooking. And I really need to stop getting Taco Bell," I respond.
"Alright then, Quinoa and sweet potatoes coming right up," she says, leaving with a smile on her face.
