Chapter 2 : Coffee?

She smiled widely and picked up her opened bag. A bottle dropped out in the process and as I caught it in my hand she immediately took it from me.

"Sorry, I don't like it when people touch my stuff." "It's fine."

The bottle, it was serotonin. It's a drug for depression. I know because I wanted to take it back when we just debut.

"Let's go Yoonki."

She waited for me to stand up and we started strolling down the empty breezy streets.
During the way, she told me that she was a university student. She goes to a school upstate but it was break so she has come back to the city. Her parents have a house in brooklyn but they live in China currently and her sister owns half of the house so she is living there now.

She was swinging her hands back and forth all cheerful but.. I caught a glimpse of her wrist.

It had old wounds, maybe a year or so.

She saw me intensely staring so she pulled her sweater down.

"I'm better now. I am."

I don't believe her but I am still a stranger and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't appreciate someone prying into her life so I left it as that.

"So, I heard you sing before. Sing something for me."

She chuckled and walked a little slower.

"Ah, I can't really sing. I just hum to songs."

"How about this, If I sing something than you will sing something too."

She took a quick look at me and smiled-Ah cute-.

"Okay, deal."

"You can't laugh okay?"
"Okay, okay just sing."

"GiRl LeT mE knoW! gIRL leET mE kNow!"

I started to sing Let Me Know adding some high notes and some awesome moves..and she bursted into laughter.

"Yah! You promised that you wouldn't laugh!"

"Sorry. You just sound so good that I couldn't hold it in."

"I know. Now your turn."

"I don't really know how to sing or speak in Hangul so I can only sing in English."

"That's fine."

She looked up at the multiple lights dancing between several buildings with a pair of converse hung on one of the telephone wires above us.

She started to sing Fight Song and I kid you not it was the most angelic thing I have ever heard. Every word gliding from the back of her mouth to land on her lips. On the high notes she squeezes her eyes shut and makes paws with her hands and stops a little in her step.

"Cause I still got..a lot of fight left in me.."
