Gasping out, Soah trembled as she found herself once again in that room. Curled in one corner of the dark room, Soah came over with a feeling of fear as the small hairs in the back of her neck stood up. Hiding her head between her knees her gripped the side of her head with her hands as tears filled in her eyes.
This was a nightmare.
A nightmare she lived for years living in that place.
Hearing the sound of the door creaking open she gasped out in fear snapping her head up to see the silhouette of the person standing in the doorway as a bright light came into the room from outside.
"F-father ." She shuttered out terrified as the person walked into the room. His cold eyes staring down at her trembling form.
"Soah, did you really believe you could escape me ?" He asked her taking another step forward.
"N-no, this a dream ." She muttered to herself.
"No my child, it isn't. You will never be able to leave me because you belong to me. That boy won't be able to save you anymore. " He said with a cold grin as he neared closer to her.
" Keisuke," Soah muttered out as she felt tears stream down her cheeks, gasping out when she found the man who called himself her father standing in front of her with a black belt in hand.
"Now, for your punishment. You can never escape me !"
"No !" She yelled out pulling up her arms in front of her bracing herself for the pain that was to come.
"This your punishment for leaving me !"
Gasping out for air, Soah sat up in bed griping on to the bedsheets as she pressed her hand against her neck feeling it close in making it hard for her to breath . Her own body shook still in fear as sweat gathered on her forehead. Feeling her throat loosen and her lungs fill with air she let out a sob angry at herself for feeling so weak. Clenching her hands on the sheets she let out another sob letting her tears fall . No matter how much time had passed with her being in this world, no matter her escaping that place leaving her own world behind to be here she couldn't escape the nightmares. She couldn't escape her memories, her terrible memories she wanted to wash away . She wanted to change, truly . She wanted to be someone else . Someone stronger than the person she had once been .
" Keisuke. " She muttered out feeling another tear fall. He had been the only one to shine a light in her dark cold life. He had always been there for her as a best friend. Someone she had confined in with everything that went on behind the walls of that house. He had protected her. Or tried.
In another world, a world where she would have stayed she might have had admitted her feelings to him. Responding to his that he had proclaimed to her long ago. They would have dated, maybe gone to university together. She would have opened a shop just as she always had wanted. Maybe one day have gotten married to Keisuke if they had lasted that long. She would have been happy, married and maybe had a kid or two. But that was all in another life. A life she didn't think would ever be hers. While Keisuke had been in her past, her present was here now.
Gazing up, her eyes felt tired and dry from all the tears shed . Standing up she walked over to the open window gazing out at the dark sky before her gaze went down as her eyes gazed off into the grounds of the places remembering the small pond where a stone gazebo-like stood. With her feet barefoot she only draped herself with a white shawl before walking out of the room. Reaching the pound she sat down on the stone railing of the gazebo staring off into the pond. She was tired yes but she was too scared of the nightmares to come if she were to close her eyes once again. Watching as a small butterfly flew in her direction she reached out her hand not noticing a long-haired figure watching her in the distance behind a tree.
