Chapter 6: His Goddess, disappeared.

Sakura POV

I groaned, slowly blinking my eyes to adjust my vision and sat up with my left arm as support. Looking around at the room I was in, it was clean and back to normal. Sighing, placing my hand on my chest thinking that half of my life has put on the line in this shrine because... this is my home now.

"You're awake." The sound of the door slid opened.

Glancing at the person, I was surprise to see Tomoe with his long hair, seems like he is back to normal, as he make his way to sit beside my futon. "It seems rebuild and cleaning this shrine works then." He talked to himself.

"What do you mean?"

He sighed, "You see, I noticed that your life energy in this shrine yesterday, lady Sakura. Even if you didn't tell me, I could sense it. But the question is.." he stares into my eyes, sternly, "... why would you do that? You made get yourself killed."

I avoid making eye contact with him, "Since this is now my home, I would do anything to protect this shrine and risk my life for it. Half of my life energy place in here plus it's also my job as a Goddess of beauty to make this shrine and the nature around it surrounds with beautiful creature and environment."

Suddenly, I was embrace by him catching me off guard as he place his head at the crook of my neck and his body suddenly shakes as if he fear... something related to me what had happened yesterday.

"I thought I almost lost you..." He mutter, "... when I saw you laying on the floor unconscious, I thought you were dead..." His grips tighten.

I felt guilty for making him and Nanami worried about me, I hugged him back and rubbed his back slowly. "I'm alright, Tomoe. I am back.."

He pulled away a little before kiss my forehead, which shocked me and he smile at me. "You need to rest for today. You'd just wake up. I will bring you some soup for dinner."

He seems like he taking good care of me when I was unconscious. Wait... he is not my familiar anymore if he back to his normal self. Then why did he take care of me if I am not his master anymore? Unless...

I blushed, causing him to looks at me in concern, "Lady Sakura? Are you alright? Do you have a fever?"

He called me Lady Sakura again...

As the realization hits me like tons of bricks, I gasped and pointing at him, dramatically, "D-Did you reseal our contract while I was unconscious?!"

There is no respond but his face told otherwise. He blushed slightly, fanning himself really fast and avoiding looking into my eyes. Then he DID!! "... maybe.." He murmurs ever so slightly.
