Chapter 8: Meet the Goddess's fierce familiar.

Third POV

Tomoe stares at the lady in speechless, though he quickly glare at the man in rage. "What did you do to her?!" he was angry, his lady and mistress, Sakura, was paler than ever and he could sense her life energy drains.

Nanami and Mizuki who had sensed an unknown yokai in front of the shrine, went out just in time to see a man holding an unconscious Sakura. The man glares back at Tomoe and growls, "Me? Huh! Why don't you ask your master herself?! You can't be that stupid to notice my lady and mistress's life in danger!"

While Tomoe was busy glaring at the man, Mizuki finally notice who he is and said to Nanami who was staring at the duo in confuse but fear when she sees the sight of unconscious Sakura. "That man, he is a demon."

"A demon?"

He nodded, "A wolf demon. The wild and fierce yokai in the west, stronger than Tomoe I might add. I heard he was Lady Sakura's familiar who had giving him freedom."

Nanami feels panicked when she heard that man was Sakura's familiar and what worst is he is stronger than Tomoe, she knew that Tomoe can't win against him. She doesn't want to anger the wolf demon more than this. She steps in front to present herself to the demon, stutters in fear by his fierce and deadly aura.

"I'm Nanami Momozono, the land god and owner of this shrine." She shriek in fear once his glazing red eyes stares at her and she continue, "... i-it's my fault for the cause of her in.. this state.."

"You." His demonic voice scares everyone as his glare depend on Nanami, "... You did this then you shall pay the price!"

Tomoe immediately stood in front of Nanami to protect her as the man raise his arm to clash her but immediately stopped when they heard Sakura crappy voice. "...s-sesshomaru.. s-stop.."

He looked down on her in concern, "Sakura..."

She shook her head, "... I already... forgive her..." He seems reluctant but he obey her, only for her. Nanami sighed in relief, thinking how Sakura managed to had fierce demon to become her familiar.

Time skips~

In her room, it was dark due to it finally shows night time. She opened her eyes to reveal her beautiful emerald eyes and sit up slowly when an arm wrapped around her waist to steady her from falling off.

Following at the source of arm who belong to, her eyes meet the person's red eyes that held concern and longing. She knew who the person is as he pulled her closer to his chest, embrace her tightly as if his life depends on her and how he missed her scent of cherry blossom.

He didn't wear his armor for once only to reveal white kimono he always wore. His soft tail wrapped around her like he always did. Now she had sat on his crossed legs, she snuggle closer to him, wanting more of his warmth.
