~Jess~

I arrived at Justin's house rather excited for the day. "So what do we do first?" I asked excitedly as he opened the door for me. "Well we're going to eat here first so you can meet some of my family. Then we go out. Sounds good?" He asked me with a smile. I nodded my head and  followed him inside. I immediately began to hear noises so I followed them until I made it to his kitchen. A woman who looked to be in her 40's was putting away dishes. "Ummm...hi there." I said shyly, drawing her attention. The woman jumped a little and smiled, holding her chest. "You almost gave me a heart attack! You must be Justin's friend?" She asked me. I nodded in reply and smiled. "Oh, well I'm Anna Shin Woo. I usually don't say my middle name so please consider it an honor." She joked with me and reached out to shake my hand. I giggled but suddenly, something rushed past my legs. "Ohhh!" I exclaimed and fell back into Justin's arms. Justin's mom immediately scolded "Stop that and meet our guest!" I looked down as a small girl approached me. She had long dark hair that hung to her waist, and the same skin tone as Justin. She wore a dark purple skirt and a matching purple cut off jacket. She had a Dora the explorer shirt on as well. The little girl held a distraught, all white cat with baby blue eyes in her arms. The cat tried to escape her arms but she held it close.

"Annyeonghasseyo. Lily nanun ileum. Mueos dangsin jasin ileum?" She asked quietly. I was completely confused by that point. "No Lillian, in English." Justin's mom scolded the girl again. "You name? My name is Lily." The little girl anounced. I shrugged. "My name is Jess." Lily gave a pleased smile. The cat struggled out of her grip and ran somewhere else so she went to chase him. "Bumbly! Come back!"  She shouted in the distance. I giggled as she took off. Justin's mom apologized to me. "Sorry about that. Lily was raised mostly by Justin's father before we met and got married. He's the real Korean member of the family. I met him at an airport one day and he asked me about a baby sitter. Soon, we'd become accustomed to each other. Marriage next and well, here I am. He's busy in Seoul right now, business trip." I nodded in understanding and spoke up. "So what are we eating? Traditional Korean meal?" I questioned her. "Ummm, if you count Domino's Pizza as a traditional Korean meal then sure." She said, putting the final dish away. Justin looked at me and shook his head. "Racist little cutie aren't you?" He joked with me. I playfully punched his shoulder and went somewhere to sit down until the pizza arrived. We chatted most of the day and when the clock struck 9:30 at night, I realized that we never left his house. Must've been having too much fun! "Look at the time." Justin mumbled to me while he was cleaning up the last of the pizza crust. I always hated the crust. "Awwww, don't say that. It sounds like you want me to leave now." I teased him. He rolled his eyes and chuckled. Justin stood up and stretched his arms out while uttering a loud yawn. By now his mom was upstairs reading the Bible and his little sis was tucked into bed with Bumbly sleeping at her feet. "Jess, you can come back anytime you want if you just give me a call. I really enjoyed today." He held out his hand in front of me. I took hold of it and let him pull me out of my seat. We hugged each other tightly and said our goodbyes whenever we had made it to my house. I know I was 18 and this was really my first boyfriend, but I didn't feel comfy enough to kiss him. He was ok with it and left me with a fluttering heart. I unlocked my front door and stepped inside. It felt like I was floating on cloud until I realized that I was home with him again.

"Please get off the counter. I don't want dirty old clown germs on it." I groaned at him. I sighed and went to place the plastic container on the counter by his head. He sat up and dangled his feet over the edge. "So you had fun huh?" He grumbled at me angrily. "A-are you t-talking to me?" I asked him in confusion. Was he upset that I went out today? Why?! Because he couldn't annoy me for the day? Asshole clown. "I don't see anyone else in the damn room." He snapped his answer back at me. "The boy...what did you two do?" He continued to press into me. I was begining to get pissed off. How dare he threaten to kill me one day and press into me like my mom the next day. Was this what he meant by suffering before he'd kill me? "We just ate pizza and talked. I don't see how that's any of your business. Actually, why do you care? Aren't you supposed to be *ahem* killing me?" I used my fingers to quote him. He growled lowly but I could still hear him. Then he stood up and walked over to me with his fists balled in anger. I backed up into the wall as he closed in on me. He put his arms on either side of me and looked me in the eyes. "You're lying to me. I hate liars." Instead of fear, this time I showed him anger. "Leave me alone Jack! Why do you care if you're going to kill me!?!? Just get it over with or leave me alone!" I pushed past him and walked away. "Oh and by the way? If you don't believe me look in the container on the counter. There's a slice of pizza in it, asshole." I then left upstairs and slammed my bedroom door behind me. At this point I wished Jack would kill me so that I didn't have to deal with his bullshit anymore.
