8 Years Before
Jack's POV
"Where are we going, Mommy?" I say excitedly. "We're going to see a friend of mine okay?" She replies. "Is it going to be boring?" I say. "No, she has a kid that's around your age, you can play with her." "Okay, Mommy."
"Where are we going to meet her?"I ask. "At Starbucks." We get into the car and start driving down the road. When we get to Starbucks, I didn't see any kids in there. My mom started walking towards a woman. My tiny steps were nothing compared to her large strides so I had to run to catch up.
"Hi, Mrs. Will." This woman said to my mom, "Sorry Luna isn't here she is at the graveyard about a block away with her grandma, where her dad is buried, today is his birthday." "Okay how about we go there," I say.
We start walking to the graveyard, and I see this little girl standing there. I walk over to her and say, "Hi! My name is Jack." She whips around and says,"Hi! I'm Luna. Do you want play?" "Yeah" I yell." Wait this isn't exactly the right place to play," says my mom. "Awww." I say. Luna starts singing " I Will Always Love You" which makes me laugh. Then she started laughing. I knew from that moment we would be best friends.
